We went for a nice hike that was about 3 kms long yesterday. The weather was perfect and the conversations great. Today is scan and doctor day. I see this doctor every fifteen weeks and have scans about every four months. As time goes along, scan days involve a small amount of anxiety. How long will stability continue. Fingers are crossed that it continues. Tomorrow will probably be a lazy day. We're moving to a park in the city on Tuesday so will have to do some packing up and preparation. We'll be taking the trailer in to get warranty work done first thing in the morning. By all accounts, that's a four hour job. Fingers crossed for that too.

Saw lots of fifth wheels and big trailers up in Tobermory. Perhaps should have rented a small camper of some kind ourselves. Hotels are bloody expensive up there. We have mused about getting an RV someday but we travel overseas so much, not sure it would be worth it unless we started spending more time touring within North America.

I recommend touring around Canada in an RV. We're partial to fifth wheels for a variety of reasons.

Scans are done for this four month period. Reports in and the doctor has called. All is good.

We have one of the smallest travel trailers on the market and we keep getting comments from people about how they like it. I like being able to park it like we did in Deep River Tuesday and Wednesday morning and go places with the car. We deeply miss the bathroom in our old motorhome. I like getting around 13 l/100km instead of 29.

I finally got the first of 2 Shingles vaccines today. I've had Shingles twice, so my doctor figured it was important for me to get it. She sent a prescription to the pharmacist and it would cost me well over $100. But the pharmacist said that, at my age, I shouldn't have to pay. So...back to the doctor, and I got it for free-to-me. I appreciate this financial help, as we just had a bill for the car for over $2000.

I got it a while ago. Be prepared for the second shot. That's the one that took both me and my boss down for a day. His was first so I was kind of braced for it.

We are talking about Shingrix, the current shot. There is an older one that's been largely abandoned and it might have been one shot.

We started with an old truck camper. It was great. The lack of a bathroom became an issue after a few years. Kudos to Jim for having the hardiness.

This seems to be the summer of hospital visits.

My husband through May and into June, then my sister for August
July was busy: supporting, planning for a wedding trip, and loving granddaughters. Husband will also be having surgery soon. Life is changing all around me.

We're in for a long haul here for my sister: nothing will happen fast. Lots of emotional support required. We are prepared to measure recovery in years, but hope for months
