I agree. We can't just dismiss him as a squirrel or weasel though. He's a shrewd marketer and potentially very dangerous
What is so shrewd about a man that constantly fails? He doesn't deserve anyone's admiration, unfortunately the ones that could make him pee his pants in public, aren't running against him, whether it's the Republicans or Democrats.

He's a marketer, not a successful businessman. The fact that people think he's a successful businessman (and billionaire?) is probably testament to his marketing skills.

Imagine the power of marketing nothing so successfully that no follower will depart!

My grandfather was fascinated with the power of nothing ... it draws folk that couldn't see it coming ... thus they fell into it ...

Fits with the sense of ʘ as the kissing fish icon as a lip locking process that causes silence to process as sign of consciousness departed ... irrational?

Fissures occur ... as the abyss goes exponential ... all sentient goes as a scattered matter ... where is questionable matter departed to? That is an intense question considering that thought is considered immaterial ... thus motes in the emotive presentation as seized ... write that down! Otherwise it'll blow ... as Gabriel ... or shadows on the passage Wahl! Something to explain to oysters ...

Fish???? And we wonder about pede ... as pun ... twisting ... a tuning function! Here and there Rods, sticks and uprights ... skew NG! Little resolution ...

Weasels are incredibly dangerous, bloodthirsty animals, at least some species (wolverines, for instance, are members of the weasel family). So calling him a weasel may not be too far off the mark, even though that's not usually what we mean by calling someone a "weasel".

Is he fascist? There's definite affinities there whether he meets the technical definition exactly or not. But I would say a lot of his challengers fill the bill to varying degrees, too. The GOP in general is feeling rather fascist and has been evolving that way. Trump has moved further that way than others, though, esp. with his populist appeal.

I think fascism is more like a cultural, ideological atmosphere, empowered and fanned by junk media into what we have now. Personally, I don't want to live in anyone's utopia.

If whitewashed the ermine's rhode ... glowing white way ... while so much is darkened by avarice ... sole of night is thus screwed ... Helios? Tread lightly if you are too close to virtue ... you will be a target ... hit eM with the paddle Bert ... heis still kicking ... padres nighty?

I believe seeking , creating, or maintaining a society in which a privileged few have all the power, exploit others, and are generally able to do what they want without consequences, possibly through populism and targeting scapegoats, is fascism. Some billionaires have been working on this for decades on a global scale. People like Trump are among their tools.

I think the key is the populism and scapegoating. Nationalism (after all, Nazi = National Socialist) and militarism need to be in there too. Simply maintaining a society in which the privileged few have all the power and exploit others can be any number of systems/ideologies. Aristocracies and monarchies fill the bill, too, but long predate fascism, which is a relatively modern ideology.

When you look at the actual characteristics of fascism, he fits. The video is short.
I'm not sure about the term fascist for Trump,
He benefits too much from democracy to destroy it. That being said, democracy can still exist without liberalism.
I don't admire the man/ politics but I'm not convinced this label fits....

The charismatic impressions are conflicting because of the factor of misunderstanding created by those wishing to promote the green field naivete ... like a gorse of confinement in vertiginous aura ... O' folly in the trees ... folk out of their tree ... considering the displeasure with the tree of know how ...

These two things are un balanced in the human Caduceus ... no matter how two faced ...

But democracy deposed him in 2020. I’m not sure he found that beneficial; and (God forbid) he is elected next year, it likely would be the last U.S. free election ever.

He and his GOP supporters have made it fairly clear that they only consider elections that they win to be fair. I fully expect to see them trying to rejig the system in their favour if they get control in 2024. Hopefully, the Dems keep at least one house (Reps, Senate, or White), which should help forestall that. Otherwise, I imagine we will see the GOP try to move to a rigged system like Russia where elections happen but the outcome is a foregone conclusion.

Realize that they see this approach as the only balanced approach ... blind charisma?
