Often ignored because of problems with sophistication and overwhelming complexity stirred up by simple powers ... corrupting urges?

Understanding demands that the misinformed move on ... thus becoming precedence or a misleading president/leader! Some never even attempt to differentiate because of fear of the divine and schizoid ... God delusion! Only the devil knows ... why emperors dislike intelligent folk ...

I don't know much but try and the powers thus label me trying and tryst that someone will eliminate me ... I was packaged early because of what I knew and wasn't appreciated by those up there ... I have signs of recall but am too old to answer those in power ... youth 'n Asia? Mark Twain defined the divine ... as dark humour ... satyr as a black donkey? It carries ... as Dan can't yah see ...

Knowledge has this black reputation inking, blinking, etc. Requires a lot of messy words to outline ide ... sort of oblate ...

Is there a difference in meaning between fornicate and copulate?
Hmm. Need to see the actual dictionary definitions but at first blush, it must fairly nuances. I think fornication is more judgemental, more about sex as a taboo act, and copulation is just another term for having intercourse. But not sure.

I had to look it up and you get a gold star. Copulation has the same origin as couple, and simply means to unite or join.

Fornication, on the other hand has more interesting origins. Refers to the building arches that prostitutes stood under in the rain, and also implies "bending over".

Yes, when you think about it we use copulation to describe animals coupling. We never say animals are fornicating.

Agreed that fornicating implies value judgement. Copulation just describes the physical act.

Ah, do I dare changing the subject?

I picked up my “ final box” today. I had seen this nice little box in canary wood at a craft fair and asked the carpenter if he could make on in bigger , to be ( eventually) used as an urn. Picked it up today. No plans to use it anytime soon, but can’t hurt to check that off the list to be prepared.

I know someone who bought a flour canister from a potter to use as an urn.
The potter told her this is commonly done and he is often asked to break up his canister sets.

Beautiful box though. Could you use it for something else before it is needed for its final purpose @Mrs.Anteater ?

We have an antique canister set but it seems to me none of the pieces are big enough to be used for urns. I checked it out a couple of years ago. Too bad.

Am I the only one who is skeptical about this business of ashes?

You can buy all kinds of merchandise to deal with ashes. A biodegradable urn which is really just a cardboard tube with a pretty picture on it was $175 when we looked into these matters a few years ago.

I thought I could, but didn’t know that they get screwed together from the bottom, so unless I put it upside down , I can’t really. Carpenter said that’s how it is usually done, I suppose so that it doesn’t unintentionally opens.

I'm not sure it's a business, as much s a wyrd responsbility.

My father died in '99. His specific request was that his ashes be scatter on Halkyn Moor, in Wales. Mother went to Wales, with directive and box in hand. Went manic while there, 1/2 of ashes scattered. I have the box with the other half. Then, mother died, wished to be cremated, but no further directives. So, ashes are here. Asked sibs what to do. No answer.

Old guy dies. Retrieve all his music stuff, and organize distribution of same. Ask for a gram of his ashes; his nephew shows up with all of him, in velvet covered box, etc.

What do I do?

Apparently, according to a local funeral director, it is illegal to scatter ashes. They tell families to just not tell them the plans for disposal following the service so they can honestly say that they don't know!
My guy makes containers, usually as a free service to special friends. Occasionally as a well paid service to people with demanding ideas of what they want. Once it was a main urn for the widow plus eight tiny matching urns for other family members- all complete with wood burning wheat sheafs.
I don't much care what happens with my earthly remains - I suggested dumping them in a lake or river. Whatever satisfies the remaining family.

My parent's ashes are in beautiful custom-made boxes, made by a dear friend for them. Old guys are just as you get them: box in velvet bag. No-one cares what I do with these. It makes me a bit sad.

That sounds like a practical idea
Hmm. Put my ashes in a David's tea can? Just label it clearly. Somehow mixing me with hot water seems like a bad idea.:unsure::ROFLMAO:
Oh, you never know, you might start a new trend (or an uberprogressive Starbux brew...)

Your velvet bags

Good morning! From where words begin, to how remains end, we do cover a lot of territory here. Let us continue to chat about beginnings and endings, and all that comes between, and what lies beyond. The coffee is ready, the tea water is near to boiling, all is ready. Come join the conversation.

Be witching Endor ... when out ... does the subject really care? To the remaining subjects; do they really care about the past objective ... or does it just fade in the memes ... by the time we return we've forgotten everything!
