Alberta hasn't rats because they got rid of them before the numbers and range got out of control...also I heard that the largest garter snake pit is also in AB. Maybe the snakes also help to keep the rats down.
I fed birds for two years, but found the disadvantages outweighed the pleasure. Too many squirrels harassing the shyer birds....rats too. Also I realized feeders draw predators. I had wild rabbits feeding there only to be killed by something. Snakes hung around, as did owls. Too much drama!
The rat patrol does more than the snakes I suspect. I think SK has one too, so it gives a bit of a buffer from that direction.

And I do buy the big bags of roasted unshelled peanuts and scatter them around a bit indiscriminately, for jays, crows, squiggles and chippies.

Good morning! With hopes for safe travels for KaytheCurler, for riddance of rats for all of us, for those who had to drink their coffee black, for lack of milk/cream, for all those facing long days on little sleep, for the myriad of other topics and concerns, we gather once more round the Coffee Cart. All is ready, come on in.

Is the a thread of virtue about power and corruption that some are reticent about?

Thus reserved the entire thing goes down as unsupported by those above! Those above get somewhat insecure ... mods of little folk!

Often unseen from where folk commonly are ...

Good morning... the coffee is welcome on this dreary morning. Wishing all a satisfying day.
Taking a break from WC for a bit -- length to be determined. I know there really isn't any need to make an announcement, but I didn't want anyone to think that something happened to me.
See you later alligator.

Good morning. It's dreary and wet here today too. After a couple of busier days, today has nothing on the calendar until later

Have fun. We'll probably still be here when you get back. :giggle:

I am hoping we don't get the predicted weather tonight and tomorrow. I have waited painfully for what feels like an eternity for a CT scan. Tomorrow is the day. Snow and icy roads are predicted. The scanner is an hour away.
Hope the trip is uneventful and you get results that make treatment as easy as possible.

Some days, I think a wine bar in the corner would be handy. Red (a cab merlot), white and rose for the indecisive.

I'll contribute a couple of bottles of a wonderful Comox Valley wine, one red and one white. The glasses are polished and the wine is at the right temperature. I've brought a tray of cheeses and chocolate as well. Enjoy.

I hope all went well for you @KayTheCurler

We are safely home, having left images of various body parts for radiologists and doctors to stare at. The roads weren't wonderful but my guy has frequently driven in worse conditions. He didn't used to collapse into a deep sleep afterwards though. Must be getting older! We had back to back appointments which was very fortunate. My guy needed a check up on his aneurysm repair and I got initial shots taken of my brain and sinuses. Needless to say I am trying not to fret as I wait to hear the results!

Glad the drive was uneventful. It's nice when multiple things are done at once, especially when the drive is already a bit worrisome, although it can make for a long day. Hope the results come back with good news.

Good morning! We think of those taking breaks from WC2, wishing them well and looking forward to welcoming them back whenever; for safe trips to and from medical appointments, and hope for good results;; for additions to the WonderWineCellar, and making mental notes in next year's budget for a corkscrew; as well as all the other stuff that goes on in our lives. The Coffee Cart is up and running, come on inand join us.

Next year's budget should be able to accommodate a corkscrew. Do we have enough wineglasses?

Not so sure the budget will allow for that outdoor patio that was mentioned a few days ago.

Flat out denial???? Raugh remains ... bone heh's ease ... as these are laid out ... the bones of the conspiracy as unplanned? Sacred process ... none knew! Idealism of vacancies ... expanded abyss? Though becomes very thin ... almost ether! There are structures like that ...

Is an incarnate item somewhat oxymoronic given what we know of sophisticated topics but declare are simple?

Does the alternate vision also fix itself? Thus established stoicism ... as something contributing to insanity and Eris in tides ... Mariah?

Do waters cause winds or winds cause one to water ... thus drippy constitutions by times! I weep at the vision that many cannot see due to vast powers of denial ... couldn't be I, or me ... thus wee divine things ... wicked as baskets? Waddles and daub ...

Good morning. I found a wine glass here in the corner so I've washed it and put it away. I got my invite for another booster so will get that today. We'll be in a busier social situation in a couple weeks so it's probably a good idea. There's not much on the schedule besides that. It would probably be a good idea to do some sorting out and prep work for our move on May 2. Things have to be secured so problems don't happen while we're travelling down the road.

Thanks for the coffee. It's perfect.
