Good morning! Happy New Year's Eve Eve Day! Lots of talk of soup gets the mouth watering. Sorry to hear of family dinners missed and plans disrupted by covid. This too shall pass, hopefully sooner rather than later. In the meantime the coffee cart is up and running, come join us for hot beverages, conversation and support.

I really nailed the depth of the turkey stock this year. You need to roast your bones and aromatics to start.

Did you know that sah once reverred to the head ... especially of the house? Thus the conception of Sa' Rae ... a black beamer connection as in Ba Chi Bah ... that bleating down the hall ... the Ba being foundational as man power declared it OHm bug ... yet he fell for it ... the great unknown declared there would be a sign of temptation that would fail yahal as Euyore ... the mule within? The joust goes on ...

There's probably something to gather from that also ... alas we don't! Such is great denial powers ... mental slippage, etc. dem end Sha ... nebulae on the horizon?

Not familiar with your descriptors of 'sah' - but I do like Sa Boothroyd's clever art, tea towels & bags :-)
 
There are a lot of things in the infinite field that real folks are not familiar with and don't wish to know about due to Exclusion Theory ... thus it goes!

There is also a theory that if it is not utilized with appreciation such things dissociate ... the great unknown thus exceeds expectations!

Tis an enigma know ... and then I'll catch hell for having enigh word in my dark passage across the wilderness ... closs as I'll get to powerful virtue as I feints ... right out of existence into the silence ... and no one will understand because of what I've learned about the unknown ... as misinformed as we are about such things ...
 
Last I heard decided emergency room wouldn't help as the home oximeter was used. Hoping they recover well. Quiet NYE here, but we do have a nice new big bed. We were looking before the tumours were discovered and that all got put off. 3 years later, still like the same bed the best, the stores were very quiet when we went a few days ago. We wanted the option to raise head/feet and the best priced frame has a bunch of fancy features.

We went adjustable for our latest bed, too. And upsized to Queen after years of using a Full. Quite comfortable and we are liking it so far.

We jumped from full to king, so it almost feels like 2 beds pushed together in terms of space. I have a feeling the heating pad will be used a bit more as it's a stretch to easily heat up my feet with body warmth!
 
We enjoyed a nice campfire with friends this afternoon. It was ten degrees and sunny so quite lovely.

I'm a tiny bit irritated with my parents. Hours with no response to texts. Normally not a problem but they sounded really awful yesterday. I also don't want to keep calling, it tends to set my mom in a coughing fit normally and it's hard to have a short phone call with her.
Got some texts now though. She has lost her taste. Hopefully all effects are acute.
 
I'm with my folks. My dad sounds terrible with a respiratory illness. Won't take a covid test. Has been jabbed and boosted. Still not happy.

Hopefully he recovers fully and soon.

My parents have had 5 doses, including the bivalent but it wasn't a full 2 weeks before they contracted covid.
