Yep. it’s been pretty wild! The past few years have been extremely harsh ones for BC. Floods, droughts, heat done, fires, windstorms.
I have heard of making it with hot milk but did not realize that was an American thing. Probably makes for a richer drink than water I would imagine.Maybe some of us will enjoy hot chocolate. I made some yesterday for my American grandson, who told me that it is called 'hot cocoa' in the States, and is never made with boiling water, always with hot milk.
She plans to stay at the lodge at the Civic campus of the Ottawa General Hospital during the week
Let B know that she's got a lot of Wonder cafe people rooting for her! And you too....It's a team effort, isn't it?She has had radiation twice before. The first time was as a surgical tool for a meningioma between the two halves of the brain. The second was twelve doses of lymphoma in the muscle behind her left eye. This time is 16 treatments of lymphoma in a nerve in the jaw. She will be staying there from the evening after the first treatment that week until the morning of her last treatment that week each week for four weeks.
When I was a kid in Pennsylvania, cocoa was always a hot drink made with Hershey's cocoa powder, hot milk, and likely a lot of sugar to taste. If we were in a hurry, Nestle's Qick powder would do. Then, at some point, some ghastly powder called Swiss Miss came along (Some with its own mini-marshmallows!) using only hot water, and life was never the same after that.Maybe some of us will enjoy hot chocolate. I made some yesterday for my American grandson, who told me that it is called 'hot cocoa' in the States, and is never made with boiling water, always with hot milk.
