Morning. My sleep patterns have gotten weird of late. Some days I follow my old, regular pattern of awake and up 6:30 or 6:45. Others I am sleeping in until 7:30. Today is an old pattern day. I actually feel better on that 6:30 wakeup. Bedtime, by the way, remains fairly constant at 10:30 or so, sometimes a bit earlier or later.
And I imagine soon we'll have a clocks 'falling back' to contend with as well!!

Huge RSV outbreaks here in Ontario too @ChemGal. Sorry your little beloved nephews are not well at the moment. So sad to see little ones laid low & listless. Hopefully they will rally soon.

Thanks. So far no hospital visits needed. I am sure the older one will be fine. I won't be shocked to hear if the younger one has asthma that isn't really triggered other than when ill (at least for now). Hopefully he's past the worst of it now.

The oldest has his birthday party this weekend, so I think multiple disappointments may be there for him. Even if he is well then, sounds like there's a good possibility many of his friends won't be able to attend. Those types of things are tough at that age.

I'm disappointed we didn't get to spend some time together before Halloween - the neighbourhood here really does make it special. Chemguy was happy to have the first birthday dessert shared just between the 2 of us! 2nd one that the birthday boy will actually eat will have to wait a while as there's a few things going on this month.

Yes, I can tell you that, anecdotally, there's some sorta thing burning through our local population. Sales of chicken noodle soup, ginger ale, cold remedies, popsicles were through the roof today.

I loaned my son’s dehydrator and I am drying orange slices in it. Saw a neat thing at the craft fair on Saturday. Orange slices stringed together with small pieces of driftwood and red and green beads. I would say the material was no more than $2 worth But they were asking $20. I would have bought one for $10. Then I thought I can easily do this myself and give as gifts. They also had driftwood sticks painted with green and blue squares and were asking $40 for it. I think they overestimated their artistic skills.

We have a new admin assistant who moved here from Ontario and found that “ food is so much cheaper here”. Can’t say I agree- unless you go to upick. What are food prices in Ontario? I thought that NS used to be more expensive in food than Ontario.

Cool that you are doing it yourself. I am not able to picture what the final piece is though. What do you do with it? Hand on a wall, string on a Christmas tree?

We somehow got through all of Sept and Oct with no snow (unless I missed the occasionally tiny bit in the sky in the wee hours or something). Rain snowing now.
Got to phototherapy today in flip flops (speeds up the processes, undressing and dressing is the slowest part of it all if there's no wait). Not so sure that will happen again.

I may need to take a break from this place for a variety of reasons. It's disappointing when this has been such an important online community for me. I am percolating on the next installment on my breast cancer blog. That may take a bit of a break too. I'm thankful it has been a place for an important discussion and that people have learned a couple things.

Good morning! Wow, a lot of stuff gets discussed here! For those afflicted with RSV, creating Christmas ornaments, sleep patterns disrupted, for those taking a break for a time, (We'll leave the porch light on for you), the room and the cart do hear a lot of life stories, triumphs, and struggles. The coffee cart is ready to host the next round of sharing and caring, might even be donuts, or the odd leftover Halloween candy. Anyway, come on in, make yourself comfy, and join the conversation.

I am in constant danger ... in another thread we were directed that a poster of threads cannot respond to a post (i.e. what a poster stated).

This seems to be an understanding that no responses are allowed only silence? Does that close down the openness for a large sector of posts, threads and those posting along while hanging on like a thread ... le=ke gets sillier as the powers tell us to be reasonable and shut up so only a portion can go with the kerygma ... be cautious about what you hear from the binary ones ... they may be split ... thus divine pillars ... its what it comes down to ... the mass is messed with ... or as Shakespeare's witches did ... they stirred ... and few understood! Because misunderstanding requires no fore thought ... but consequence that can be denied as denial is a great power. Imagine such blackouts in the greatest of powers ... easily forgot they tell me ...

Our darts team lost all six games last night and it hurt more than it should have. Two weeks ago we win 4 out of six games. It seemed none of us could get the closing doubles we needed last night.

I respect your choice (while not knowing what caused it), but I want you to know that I will miss your posts if they cease. It is too early in the morning for me to add much to that thought, but I really wanted to acknowledge your words.

At least you can hit the board consistently enough to be on a team. Last time I played darts, people wore body armour. :ROFLMAO:

I am the captain because I managed to be in the top ten of returning dart players from last year. Not sure how I managed that except the captain of the team last year was a good player. Last night we three were off our game and our opponents played better than usual. The stars were aligned against us I guess. I am thinking I need to practice at other times. I am still not playing as well as I did 50 years ago.

Full on snow now. Can't complain, Halloween and Oct in general were fairly warm.
I bought boots with flippable spikes will likely be able to test those out soon. Fingers crossed the flipping is easy enough to do.
