On a side note, my spouse does not often comment on my experience.

I was surprised when he said "Those are nice earrings. Are they new ?"
Umm, nope not new. I think he had given them to me about 20 years ago, lol. Just haven't been wearing them, but, simple hoops help to keep my ears open. (They had slightly closed, so had to reopen them last week)

Guess I may start wearing earrings again

Sadly, there's probably something in this house, maybe a necklace or something, that I gave Mrs. M back in the day (we've now been together 33 years, married for 29 come August) that I have forgotten about. Time does that to you, eh.

It's been a day of listening & pondering as I've tuned in to two conferences that are overlapping today - one from Convergence on Courageous Faith - What is the Future of Spirituality? The second from Lion's Roar on the Wisdom of Pema Chodron (a well respected Buddhist monk) where I listened to Meg Wheatley and Pema each speak. So interesting. All while knitting to my heart's content. Then we buzzed over to our local arena where the Vax Bus was stationed & got our boosters, thanks to our neighbour who called to alert us to its presence :) So - a good day.

Good morning! As I stare out the window right now, flakes of snow are falling. Looks like an interesting weather pattern day today. Anyway, the coffee cart is ready. C'mon in and join the fun and frivolity.

Same as Red here. Flurries, even a dusting of accumulation. Supposed to warm and turn to showers later, though.

How is the Convergence Conference?
They always have lots of interesting discussions with a diversity of speakers and this one was the same :) They have an interesting model of making the pre-recorded interviews free for 24 hour period & you can watch them at whatever time suits you; if you wish to keep them beyond that a payment is required. The Wisdom conference is similar but they allow 48 hours for free viewing - aaaahhh ... breathe .... I love the Buddhists slowing down the frantic pace of life.

I watched several of the presentations the last two years but did not have energy for it this year. I enjoy Cameron Trimble's Weird for the Day and sometimes use them for reflections I share with people on my reflections email list. I appreciate the reassurance that other people see how church is often cracked or broken and the inspiration provided by people doing something about those cracks and breaks. She was one of the presenters at Epiphany Explorations in Victoria in January 2013.

Good morning! This is Palm/Passion Sunday, the beginning of Holy Week. Let us begin this time in community, gathered in spirit round the coffee cart, where conversation and hot beverages are available. C'mon in.

Good afternoon. The sun is making its appearance here now. It has been a gloomy day here with snow close by. I just purged some things from under the bed. It's a storage space, being an RV. There's more to do but this was enough for today

Went to church today which is a short drive away. But I ran into a bit of snow south of the 401. ( I live north of the highway). Not the first time this has happened

I think I will start the Vampire book series next.
Which one? Anne Rice's Vampire Chronicles? Stephanie Meyer's Twilight?

Nice day here. A bit cool at 6C, but sunny and no wind to speak of. Got in a nice walk which proved to be the cure for a very low mood that hit me as soon as I got up this morning.

*sigh* My experimental dog walk scheduled for tomorrow has been postponed, for a while. My walking supervisor is living in a household where two members have tested positive for COVID-19. I am anxious to cultivate less dependence on others...and Lucy and I have a better/happier relationship when she pack-walks with me every day. She is getting some mad about me taking off by myself, even though I'm only gone 10 minutes (it's a pretty small block...).

Twilight. Don’t know the other one.
The Vampire Chronicles is a much older and longer series. I can't even remember how many books finally came out. And it also crossed over with another series Rice wrote about a family of witches, so those novels are technically part of it, too. The first vampire one, Interview With the Vampire, came out in the 70s and Rice kept coming back to that universe on and off right up until she died last year. A couple of them have been filmed and Rice and her son were involved with a TV series for one of the streaming services at the time she died.

Anne Rice is less well known as a writer of erotica; hence, the sometimes subtle erotica of the Vampire Chronicles and related.
