Truckers against nature and administrative efficiency ... costs must be reduced to improve profits ... no matter what! The mule train doesn't count ... rite? Thus reality departs ... fiction ... the image a' nation ... there is no nation ... it s all in your head ... and you know what the powers believe of what's in small heads ... nothing! Big heads have it all ... there it departs the nemesis ... or so thought! Perhaps in Eire ... like the unsinkable Molly ...

Well, I had a disturbing conversation with my baby sister yesterday. She's double-vaxxed, and boosted, over two weeks ago. She's a bus driver, but she's masked, behind an acrylic screen, and all passengers are supposed to be masked. And she's got COVID. She's not really ill, just headachey, feverish and somewhat GI challenged, but she's also contract (like everyone is these days), so no paid sick days. She was hoping to go back to work on the weekend if her rapid test today was negative (and I haven't heard from her).

Is she allowed to go back this weekend?

Coworker had covid, was off, was back at work one day and went to the emergency room today as breathing issues popped up.

She's following COVID protocols for our health unit, so yes, I think so. The number of bus drivers off sick is apparently horrific. I actually warned my boss about this today, because if it's this easy to catch, they might want to plan on some shift shortages in the next month or so.

It's feeling almost inevitable that, despite my best efforts, I'm going to get this just because of my job.

I haven't updated recently. I am happy to say that I got my booster in early January. I am 1.5 Moderna and 1 pfizer. All is good. I recognize that i can still get it, but, hopeful that if I do the vaccines will reduce impact.

I also have become aware of a death from covid that is 2-degrees of separation away. i don't see the people who knew this individual other than through church on-line forums. I am sorry for their loss, but, also aware that the more aware people become the more likely it is they will be attune to controls.

I have also had 1-degree of separation of covid illness, but no one needed hospitalization. People were sick, but, not overwhelming sick. There were a number of these instances with my nieces and nephews on both sides of the family since christmas -- some in the states, some in ontario.
Several members of my wider family have had it and survived just fine. I heard on the grapevine that one grand had it (and probably the parents and live at home sibling). Another grand had it for sure. Quite a few of my UK relatives had it too. They were all unvaxxed and I refuse to accept that I didn't teach the young ones better!

Yeah, I think it's really unfortunate the BC convoy isn't getting much attention because of the national one. Canadaland is the first I was aware of the BC one and really don't have much for details.
I hadn't heard anything about a BC convoy. Lots, of course, about the other misguided one.

Some people are saying to NOT be in a hurry to get back to work or school. Apparently lots of people get a relapse and become even sicker than before.

Unfortunately, in this world of contract work, no sick days. You go back to work if you can, if you have to, I think. I hope she is fine (she is my favorite sister).

Although cases are going down now unless your specific area hasn't peaked. Who knows maybe you already had it and weren't sick enough to notice? Hopefully as things wind down this is the end of big waves.
I am scheduled for phototherapy Feb, I may push that back a week or 2, we are behind ON with our wave. Flare from stopping isn't too bad.

Yeah that was the case with the coworker. We have a covid nurse line for work. She cleared him but he was told by coworkers to wait it out one more day before coming in. Only made it into the office 1 day before a bad cough hit.

I didn't get tested, but I actually took a sick day (my first ever, actually), over a wyrd fever and nausea that hit me about 10 days ago. I just slept most of the day away, was a bit "off" the next day, then felt fine.

Hopefully that was it for you which I feel like is a bit of an odd here's hoping thought, but it likely offers better protection for what comes next than just vaccine alone plus it means hey, you got off with mild effects only.

Called about my booster. Was hoping to just go to the pharmacy I use, but turns out her supply has expired. So looks like I will be sticking with the same location as before. Despite the mistake made, I am fine with that, I think the province wasn't great at communicating who should have had what dose.

Dose 4 done. I got moderna again. Had the choice, pharmacist preferred to just use what I have already had with my immune system.
Arm is quite bad and happened quickly. Other pain is easy to ignore, exception going up a flight of stairs.

I can't wait for the new
Mint Flavoured
Canadian plant based vaccine
Coming soon :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:
(The mutations should be more Environmental--we could use more photosynthesis...move over Kermit, it will be easy being green)

Do not get extremely fresh ... people get extreme reactions to such beasties ... then there are taxing beasties ... to support accelerating industry ... diminishing safety margins created with thoughts ...

I'm a little slow in seeing this news. Great that you were able to get another booster ChemGal. In yesterday's newspaper I read a long article re sharp rise in infection rates since the lifting of masking & capacity limits this month in Ontario. This was based on waste-water testing & on rate of health care providers testing positive. As not much has changed within hospitals in terms of protocols, the reports attribute the rise to increased community transmission. Sigh.
