Room For All

Welcome to Wondercafe2!

A community where we discuss, share, and have some fun together. Join today and become a part of it!

Ridiculous wet here. I got absolutely soaked walking dog. Storm drains aren't draining because of ice, but it's been pouring rain, and streets are cold little salty lakes. Most unpleasant.

It was quite cold here today and is supposed to go to -7 tonight. I was inadequately dressed when I went out so took awhile to warm up again. Yes, I'm getting soft. My former community up north is getting ridiculously cold weather now.

We continue to have lots of cold and lots of snow here. Getting tired of it but I am trying to live a life of gratitude, so...should I be thankful for it? Today I was thinking that those years with little snow coverage are actually not welcomed by farmers. So, maybe that will help me be grateful for the abundance of snow!

My sisters and I often message each other in the morning. Today, we were discussing my cousin, who lives in Tennessee. She has just been diagnosed with a very aggressive form of breast cancer. Her mom died several years ago, and my mom, her aunt, is especially important to her these days. Her sister in New Jersey is being very unkind to her (you should have been checking, this is your fault). Their father lives with the New Jersey sister and often doesn't get much privacy to have a really good, supportive talk with his daughter who has breast cancer. My Tennessee cousin says she feels like an orphan.

The unsupportive, unkind cousin in New Jersey claims to be a strong Christian. The Tennessee cousin is too but says..I can handle whatever comes my way with God's help, but it is those I love that I am worried about. They are suffering too.

I'll never understand how Christianity can be claimed by those who choose unkindness when compassion and love are required.

Is there reason behind blame or is blame usually a blinding nebulae for something else? Thus dervishes on the horizon as thoughts rush out there ...

Good morning! We've made it halfway through the week today. We're within a month of the first day of spring (a symbolic landmark). We empathize with those whose loved ones seem to be more ready to use faith as a weapon, than as a human connection. For those with adverse weather, stay safe. The snow cover WILL help the farmers. Th coffee cart is up and running. C'mon in and join the conversation.

Its Wednesday ... a time for the ancient Pub Theosophy Group!

Here we discuss ridiculously believed things as oddly unbelievable ... miracles in time! Tis a league of legends ... really ... eliminated as Levites ... light to the core ... tree ignited? Boshe-E?

There on the mores ... to be resolved as to why! Idiot Savant ... flat out there ... doesn't wish to get caught up in anything of great volumes ...

May account for stacked odds ... man-god and essence of temptation? Sentient ... thus ye nd ... some say yen 'd! Fanny or Fin ET ... it is over ... AD sum?

Many will not go there and thus restless ... no wonder!

The weather is a mess here ... potentially by the permutation of the greatest POTUS to ever get environmentally chaotic because he doesn't believe what surrounded him ... naivete? He despised NU's and any other likewise information and intelligence ... thus lost it!

Thus we are ... if you haven't been following the leader regarding what's been trashed ... alas I'm not to speak about it ... skit dusting ... sort of skittish? Paranoia in big time ...

We have more than enough snow. The 3' fence around our backyard is almost completely buried. We are glad that our wee dog isn't interested in escaping because he could walk right over it.

Started with freezing rain last evening. It eventually iced up our satellite dish just as my partner's favourite show, New Amsterdam, was about to come on. Sometime in the night it got warm enough to melt off the ice Gusts of wind are producing shower of ice off the trees and occasionally branches. About 5mm or more of ice on everything. Now it is snowing.

That's a worry. On a positive note, aggressive breast cancers tend to respond well to chemo. Sending prayers for healing.

It has been cooler here too. We went down to -7 last night. Yay for tank heaters. We're warm and comfy here.

I am feeling that I messed up tonight chairing the 2nd council meeting for the budget.
I went with the flow and dragged down into the minutiae of the lines and the challenges of understanding some equity accounts instead of focusing on the higher level big items.
The reality is we spent 2.5 hrs (for the 2nd time) going line by line on the council, when in reality, one summary expenditure (salary) is 65% of the budget. No amount of time can impact the vast majority of the lines, unless people are overbudgeting by double, and even then, they can't do much

So, I feel that we did not take advantage of the time allotted to discuss budget.

Oh, and we have a $150k overspend so, it's not trivial.

sigh.

We had +14 degrees yesterday, so the cat had access to her catio all day. Now, we have -8 ( -16 with windchill) and thecat is mad at me because I won’t put the cat door in the window. No, I will not heat the outdoors.
She even refuses to eat breakfast.
Snow in the forecast again for Friday, up to 20 cm, so may e snowshoeing season is not over yet.

Overspending by overview is one of the destructive elements of our self ... greedy demons ... they do not understand elements of need!

Far out perspective???? Yup ... they say I'm gone ...

Good morning! Time for tea, coffee, etc and conversation! As we continue to mull over meetings and dental issues, weather and family matter, and allsorts of other topics, let us gather round the Cart, for hot beverages and community. All is ready.

C(_)/ c\_/ c[_] c(_)

There is the cart ... where is the carrier placed? In union ... thus freedom is sacrificed so we can have totalitarian failure ... and the entire thing goes down! Respect the bottom line ... a difficult thing to accept ... when you believe in not knowing better that how the NU's arrives ... Russian Bare?

Thus crude ... in a round about lie ... virtue is intangible! Virtual unknown ... due to belief ... that's unbelievable ... life is like that as a metaphor!

Facing overspends on that scale can easily be almost paralysing. I hope trust and growing relationships will be part of your process as the council works on it. One hazard for the clergy and the chair is to take on too strong a sense of personal responsibility rather than keeping it a collective responsibility. There is a church on Calgary that used to regularly prepare budgets with deficits or overspends of up to half a million as there were a few deep pockets in the congregation that would always step up to cover the difference. I wish all of you well
