no worries ... it's rather entertaining pinga :-) These things have a mind of their own ... a bit scary sometimes!! I have the same problem with powerpoint - it defaults to stuff that I can't seem to get rid of or over-ride - very frustrating when that presentation is just oh so close to being done ... the perfectionist in me kicks in!!

Well, my wife is back to work, and first impressions are positive. Of course, everyone likes my wife. She is the most approachable and least threatening person in any given room. She is the person people ask for directions. She is the person who never has her bag searched on her way into an amusement park or stadium. She's like the perfect spy or drug mule.

It makes me sick, really.

It was a nervous day for me, hoping the company wasn't a place she could not work in. I want her to be somewhere she wants to be, not working a job she hates for a paycheque. Couldn't get much done in the renovations, except realize that my lighting design in my own basement is inadequate and changing it. Damn. I agree that being a perfectionist sucks.

Hopefully, with that, and some other old mistakes of mine that were bugging me out of the way as of today, the rest of the week is very productive.

Wow Crazyheart - sounds really rough in your germ-infested household!

My elderly uncle keeps getting bladder infections and I don't think people always understand how serious they could be (Or what their impact could be - for my Uncle he gets very "confused"). I hope you all recover soon.

Hopefully all will unfold well at her new workplace chansen. I bet she was a little anxious too! It's a challenge starting any new job. And I am mindful that this is February, with all that brings for you.

Now, my kid is a full fledged electrician - if you have any lighting type questions I can float by him on your behalf I'd be happy to do so ... :-) But I know engineers ... my Dad was one, as are several friends - ask a question??? Seriously??? We ANSWER those, we don't ask them!! ;)

If I had had autocorrect when I choose my user name I would be Seeker. I just made a typo - and stuck with it.
My pharmacy is in my Coop store where I go at least once a week - and today is my regular grocery day. I'll stop by and talk to Mike. And if the pills are to be taken with food and take awhile to kick in, perhaps I can move my lunch time up to 11:15 or so rather than my usual noonhour. Since I have breakfast before 7:00 and dinner around 5:00, an early lunch makes sense anyway.
Bowling scores last Friday were 81, 69, 79 despite my tremor during the first string. My average hovers around 77.5 so I bowled slightly below average. Need to get that 69 up.

Crazyheart - I'm thinking of you and Crazydad. You're not having a good winter. Thank God for children. It sounds like they are a blessing to you.

I'm a little happier with the second tank being upstairs today. It no longer has just one big fat pregnant fish. Instead, it has one less fat fish and I counted at least 6 babies all at once. Considering how well they hide, I would say we have at least 10. I think we might actually have at least a handful that survive this time :) Chemguy will have to get mom out soon though - I saw her chasing one, who knows the number she has caught already.

I'm feeling less sore now, but really have little energy. My ribs also started hurting last night, and are still a bit tender. I've felt like this from a hard pilates workout when I did it on a good day, or activities I did when I was younger. Never from something like what I did this week. I'm frustrated, as I didn't feel like I pushed too hard. I don't even know what position could have caused this.

Greetings everyone!

Hope everyone is ready for the weekend.

Anyone doing anything special for Valentine's? I am doing the service on Sunday, so instead of cooking a meal for my family, I am going to buy them KFC, and I will just have soup :).

Hope everyone is doing fine.

No very special plans ... we were thinking about going to Niagara Falls to see the ice, but a fair bit of snow is forecast for there tomorrow, so will choose another time. It's also very cold, so likely will be indoors more than I'd like - some knitting, catching up on movies, reading ... that's nice too.

Friends of my husband are coming for dinner Sunday - I've met them once a few years ago, so it will be good to get reacquainted. They are avid travelers and adventurers so I'm sure there will be no lack of interesting conversation.

It's a long weekend in Ontario - Monday is "family day."

In Ottawa "Family Day" is pita day for many. Federal government employees do not get the day off (they would have to give up their August holiday and the union didn't seem to want to go that route). So Federal employees are left scrambling trying to find child care, etc and there is reduced bus service. Many people take the day off so it's a very unproductive day in the office. It's the reverse of Remembrance Day really where federal employees get the day off but others do not (there is a bit of a campaign to give everyone the day off or no one because a survey indicated that it is the single biggest shopping day of the year in Ottawa :/)

I had a really rough week but today was a bit better. The last of the workmen were here so we just have to wait for the furniture repair people to come and we will be done - yay! We are going to the Keg for dinner tomorrow night and then home to watch a movie or play a game.

Sunday we have a member doing the reflection as our Minister is away for her birthday. Then lunch with my Great Aunt and Uncle.

We're expecting snow and it's freakin' cold too - it was -29c before windchill this morning. It's the second weekend of Winterlude.

My Yobo - who was going to South Korea for Valentines Day has now come down with a very bad cold. She was in bed all day - very drowsy - with virtually no appetite. :(

Oh Jae - that sucks. Will she miss her trip?

Thank you Just me. I don't know . She will try to go - but I understand that sometimes airlines don't let people fly if they think that they're too sick. A number of us are praying for her and I would like to request those here who pray to join us in that. It's very important to her that she goes - especially to visit with her parents.

Prayers Pr. Jae. It's always an important trip when family is involved. I had a fun day with my class at school...making, sending, counting and reading Valentine's cards. And parents delivered goodies. Everyone was feeling the love.

Thanks Nancy.

What grade do you teach?

Ugh. Happened to me the first time I went to China to meet Mrs. M's family. She was already there. Three or so days before departure - bad head cold with major sinus congestion. Just what you need when flying halfway around the world.

Good vibes to your Yobo and hope she gets better in time.

Thanks Mendalla. What happened in your case - did you get better in time to fly?

Valentines day??/ Seelergirl is in the middle of moving from an apartment to her nearly built house (actually they moved the beds yesterday and spent last night under their new roof). Today I'm making a big crockpot of chicken stew to take out to them and the friends who are helping her get set-up. So I guess we'll be too busy to do much of anything for vaalentines day.
