Good morning , Red, and all others.
We have -6 and are expecting a little bit of snow in the afternoon. Today will be a day to write letters for Amnesty’s Write for Right campaign alternating with cleaning the house. Decorations will come off next weekend and snowmen deco will come out.
Question for all- what do you do with gifts so useless you can’t even regift or sell on a yard sale? There is this friend of a friend who means well and often buys stuff at stores as a “special” -and now I have a religious plaque and a candle that looks like a mini urn, stating that I am the most precious friend in her life ( we are more acquaintances than friends). We are not that close, so she never comes to my house, so I think I am safe to say
“ Value Village”. It just shocks me, that , if she would mean that, she really doesn’t know what friendship is….

Its a true story ... even tho' the publication is said to be fabricated (a lie, or alley) the MAN decided all publications and NU's were a lie and that too became buried in the other fecundity! When well buried the truth becomes a curiosity ... and people dig for it ... the essence of satire, puns, metaphors about dome R's, etc.

Thus we add to it to create sigma ... that will undoubtedly become a stigma for many that do not question God ... that's all!

They just won't got there because it is questionable and they do not know where they are is similar ... perhaps inverted ... abstract space ... that is quantum and the ups and downs could switch! Thus de lites go off and on ... as the sentient passes quickly ... missed tickle?

All that remains is the feather as the boid passed ... something to avoid?

Maybe you could blame the cat, who knocked this precious objet d'art off the table, and shattered it into a thousand pieces?
Poor cats are always taking the blame.:cat:

Good morning! In my mug today is a nice peach-flavoured black tea.

Last day off, then three days of work. Was planning to work from home but with my support team all self-isolating, I have to go in at least once. Sigh. I hate pandemics.

I deplore the trend of buying something for everyone you know. It results in lots of useless junk . Our planet can't sustain this mindless consumption.

I wasn't going outside any way as I have been ignored by the bulk of the world that displays massive impulses ...

I don't often drag my impulses out there ... for the powers of denial to waste ... what's the point? That's debateable in reality up against the abstract Wahl ... abstract being difficult for the reality of the mind set! If you discover IT your out ... displaced AI? Alexus ... that odd voice ... and we are led on to doing nothing, saying nothing and speaking not a thing about fractures, fissures and RIFFs!

All is scattered until it comes together again ... and the weal turns ... painfully sloe ...

I agree. This one is a friend of a friend. We basically only meet at our birthdays and for Christmas, and since everybody gives gifts to everybody, I am getting gifts. Once in a while, it,s actually useful or even pretty.
I used to give TH gift cards to her hubby and their son. Since their adult son never gives anything back or bothers to contact me with a thank you, I did not get anything for him this year. In the hope to change the gift giving with them, I made a donation to Hope For Wildlife with his name on the receipt ( she doesn’t have any income), and bought one of their calendars. I know they like animals and charities. Next year, I think , I will donate to the SPCA for them. Maybe they pick up the idea and donate for me, too.

Just reading about some things about the Turing Computation and the concept of provable, disprovable and undecidable ... it is decidedly an article that is not for the pious given the extent of a lengthy SET code that whips thro' detectors that could miss details ...

Details being exceptions to acceptable roué 's ... the alternate way? It is virtually intangible from a mortal visionary ... kind've out there like a scientist speaking to a crowd well-SET in mined ... mind being a hole place ... profound ...

I'm told that psyche is just something literally unencounterable ... yet I once worked with a psychiatrist that said if you worked with the insane ... you had to limit your time ... an abstract concept?

Conclusion is from a mortal position you may never see it ... thus in trances ... one is in a special place ... opposing sects can cause this ... bringing on either whitewashing or blackout ... and nights going about the tables ... round tables? Thus white and red roué cis ... the latter may cause bloody relating! Sheet markings ... ancient folks seem to be interested in if they really did it after all the deterrents and inhibitions ...

Tough to speak about given the adversity ... gnostic crap? Flehm of differing text ... yours ... if you speak of strange relations in some surroundings you will be rushed out behind the tent where the gathering was dissenting ... yet it all was a lie ... fallacy, or not undecidable until later ...

Paradox and enigma do exist although denied by dissidents ... outsiders on the inside causing inner conflicts! Thus the thought penetrated ... as a point either way ... < or going >!

Indecipherable? ... It just happens ... and we know little on impact! God sway towards being unseen ... it is unwritten ...

Later my friends ... right now we are enjoying the pain of an unacceptable environment ... it was trumped! Not enough words to describe what's missing ...

Me, too. And I don't give in to temptation much, although there's some level of reciprocation, occasionally, which is hard to get over. My dog walking friend across the road started giving me gifts and I've really been unsuccessful in discouraging her, so this year, it was an LCBO card and homemade sweet potato chips for her dog. A church friend of mine likes to give me little things (usually consumable), so I return the favour, home-made or purchased. And I gave a gift card (for her grocery store) to my boarder because I know money's tight for her, and she's a good boarder (quiet, pays rent on time, friendly, conscientious about laundry room and moving cars). And I have taken to getting the postal worker a Tim's card because she has to listen Lucy threaten her with an unpleasant death every time she delivers an envelope. At least gifts of largely cash or gift cards saves some of the junk. I consciously try to buy the re-loadable cards when they're available, because there's a chance of using a little less plastic if they are re-used.

If desired ... get it ... what a concept in contrast to indicating that you know a persons desires! All that is unknown ... resembling the great unknown in some traditions ... a challenge ... if sucked up an internal conflict! Presents spectral gaps in some studies absorption/emission spectroscopy that allows varied physical scans ... the results perhaps disturbing! Even the process in MRI can mess up neurons ...

Imagine BMR's from beyond ... outside processing! Three aye syndrome ...

I love the idea of making donations instead of giving "stuff" - I often do so - most usually through Gifts With Vision - then I cut out or print the description of the organization & include it in a card. I have asked for donations instead of gifts to several folks who asked - oh whatever shall I get you? We've trimmed our gift giving list considerably over the past few years, as neices & nephews are now adults. A few neighbours who used to exchange gifts with us we've asked to desist - with positive result, thankfully. Consumables are a good idea - love the little gifts of baking & jams!

Predictably (if you knew me or the Hippie), one little sub-branch of my family are very 420-oriented. So there's a little sub-group of salves, edibles, even tiny little baggies of bud, (and lighters) tucked into some gift bags. Although my salve goes everywhere when it's made. It's called "herbal salve", and many of its recipients over the years have no idea, but they like it.

Ditto for the winter driving skills, yes?

Thankfully most people were reasonable, though there were some driving stupidly slow. That was probably a clue. Also the jerk who came around a corner ahead of me in a way that sent his car into a fishtail. Thankfully he was in the right lane when we passed. We're heading towards Victoria today. Here's hoping the roads are decent

In some ways, I would be far more sympathetic to people on Vancouver Island, where snow is not common, than I am to folks around here. London is guaranteed snow at some point in the winter. Lake Huron makes sure of that even if we don't get systems coming from the West. So why do so many Londoners have problems driving safely and sanely in a snowstorm?

I grew up in London and am very familiar with Lake Effect snow. That gives skills to deal with almost anything. While I do have sympathy for born and bred Islanders, a lot of people here are transplants like I am so do theoretically at least have the skills. Snow brings out the catastrophizers. When we had snow three years ago people said kids couldn't go to school because the sidewalks were snow covered. I was called heartless or something similar because I commented that kids up north would never be in school if that was the standard. Also, the aforementioned children were at the schools tobogganing and generally enjoying the snow on their days off. It is fun to see how people here respond to what the rest of Canada gets most of the winter.

Good morning! For those of you out west, stay safe and warm. For those in other parts of the country, drive carefully, try to avoid those drivers who refuse to acknowledge winter driving realities. As for topics of the day, maybe the one gift you've received, that you hoped they kept the receipt for? Anyway, the dart is ready. Come on in and relax and enjoy.

Dart? For the people who gave us the dubious gift?

Good morning. Work day for the ape. Short staffed and most of what I have are stuck at home due to COVID contact rules. Lovely. I am working from home but it is by choice and I will have to go in on Friday.

We made to our destination yesterday. The roads were mostly decent. They were sketchy south of town until the first town. Today we go into the city for my doctor's appointment and to have lunch with friends. Hopefully Mr Northwind will make it back home before the current snowfall warning does it's worst.
