My son just called me, stressed by the impact of the virus on his Xmas plans. One treat today was going to be a D&D "one-off" game, which has just been cancelled because the DM has had a covid contact. The other was one of his part-time jobs, as janitorial/cleaning staff in a local motel. All of their Christmas bookings have been cancelled.
I wouldn't blame Kenney or Ford or the BC people, or the feds, really. No-one knows what they're doing; they're flying by the seat of their pants and making random bad decisions in a panic.
I've had a slightly worsened cough the last week (I always have a bit of a cough due to allergies), no fever, no other symptoms, so I'm just putting it down to increased Christmas greenery exposure; at church, at work, out walking. I have some serious evergreen allergies; have not been able to tolerate a live tree, or even a live wreath on the front door, in decades. I do not have the time to spend hours at the testing centre, so I'm assuming that it's my seasonal Christmas tree problem. I need to make liver and sweet potato chips for dogs, truffles and 420 salve for humans by the 26th/29th.
