Good morning. I've been madly trying to finish a baby blanket for a baby who was due in January. He was born on November 29. Yay for Acorn and Doc Martin along with YouTube and Netflix
 
Such a clean space for coffee/tea this morning. My real life space is getting cleaned up in bits and pieces. When I got up this morning every bit of flat surface in the kitchen was piled with 'stuff'. Not sure why there was a cookie sheet on the stove, nor three cardboard boxes stacked on the microwave, nor a bunch of dirty dishes awaiting attention on the counter.
 
Nova Scotia is awaiting it’s first major storm tonight- anywhere from 15-40 cm. Hoping it’s not going to be so much that I can’t make it out of the driveway tomorrow.

Oh my goodness - an early arrival! Hoping all is well with babe & family. I remember those days well.
 
I too have been clearing stuff out & cleaning a bit - I'm so tired of stuff everywhere & not even knowing where some stuff is. My mate is not of a similar mindset - its challenging.
Fingers crossed for nice fluffy snow Mrs.A!

Oh, just shovelled it. Wasn’t fluffy. Should have gotten the snow blower out of the shed yesterday. Maybe this afternoon.40 minutes for the basics on my and my neighbours driveway was not too bad, though. Now a little break before having my shower…

Oh yes - good size for sure! Bodes well for being home soon if not already! Keep crocheting - that sunny blanket will be appreciated - not just for babe but for parents on middle of the night feedings & walks around the house trying to keep cozy & patient.

I'll keep knitting. It's a knitted blanket. :cool:

I'm taking a small break to work on a buffalo plaid toque for a friend. I'll probably work on both in bits. I'm not a monogamous knitter
 
Oh, we had only 17 cm overnight, but Halifax got 25 and some other places got 38 cm. It’s going to be -10 tonight- but + 14 by Sunday night. Talking about climate change….

Greetings! For 'only' 17 cm of snow (still more than enough, by any measure) to baby blankets and other projects, we gather to chat and discuss over hot beverages. The cart is ready, come and get it.

Is this a weird offering in a world where "take it" is more popular and this the parasitic quality of life as it comes and goes ...

From an out there person trying to tread lightly ... light being a false god to many as they prefer cover and darkness ... so hide the following ... tis the Shadow of Jack ripping through ... a riff in past tense or rift?
 
Good morning all. As a FB meme said, I made it from the bed to the coffeepot. There's no stopping me now. :cool:

I'm taking a short break from the baby blanket to knit a fun hat. Can you ID the pattern?

hat looks like a checkerboard variation maybe? stepping stones?

I will continue to ponder ... I'm in the kitchen making some yummy gingerbread waffles :-) I'm doing them on a special little waffle iron that has a snowflake pattern on one side - so it's slow going making only one at a time! But the house sure is starting to smell wonderfully Xmasy!

Nah, doesn't have the same ring to it, I don't think. :santa:

Another week over. Not much to do this weekend save some bank paperwork and cleaning. Oh well, the holidays loom...
