@GiancarloZ Beautiful baby! Enjoy. We are still waiting for our fourth grandson...He was due over a week ago. Daughter-in-law went for an ultrasound. I must admit that I'm a little nervous...Our covid counts are rising FAST in our city and there are two outbreaks actually in the hospital. I will be so happy when this baby is born...in and out of the hospital quickly.

Congratulations, Nancy!
My daughter was born at the Ottawa Civic Hospital amid an outbreak in another ward. Thankfully, we got out of there in 48 hours.
Wishing your son, daughter-in-law and grandson all the best!

Yeah, I was reading about the storms in the news today. Apparently it may be behind some major network disruptions we are seeing around the country.
 
I've had some very wyrd stuff happening, especially to my streaming CBC music, which is on 24-7, except when I'm watching a bit of Netflix/Gem, or I shut down for the night. Occasionally, there will be a wyrd lag, and I'm not talking 0-2 minutes, I'm talking a large piece of music and some commentary, that I will suddenly re-hear, so more like 10-20 mins.

In all seriousness, we're fine where we are. We're on high ground. The highway is closed in a couple spots between here and Victoria. There is a fair bit of flooding around the region and island. It has stopped raining for now and it is forecast to be sunny tomorrow. That should help.

I would take that over the issues we were seeing at work. Serious disruptions of our phone lines, even ones that weren't Internet-based. I noticed some lag watching a program on Kanopy tonight but nothing serious. Just the image freezing while the audio kept going on.

We continue to have problems. Internet turns itself off and on randomly. My guy got a booster but it didn't help at ll. I'm thinking we should turn youngest grandson loose to fix it!
 
Suppose the tempests in communication might be due to solar disturbances in electromagnetic fields of curiosity?

Some monumental leaders of piety would say it isn't so ... and folk would accept that blindly instead of the vast mystery ...

I'd knock upon it and see if it would provide some answers as in The Nature of Things --- Pogo!

Life is a swamp ... some leaders say that and then spread some more of the same ... so pitch in folks and do as directed by the powers ... corruption must go on to feed the vegetated ... includes a famous tree and a mystical forest ... tended by (I' cannot say) ...

She's a mean spirit Charlie Brown if not respected! The implications are abstract ... need I say more?

The mystery is said to extend way beyond what we believe we know ... when we don't ...
 
When the Paradox children were born, the Toronto Star gave us laminated copies of the announcements we put on the paper. I still have them.

Hubby wants to do it himself. I said I knew nothing about it and we should get someone to come and do it. Hubby hates asking for help and would apparently like to screw up the whole system before admitting he can't get it working. Not sure how long he is going to spend with his heels dug in. Good thing I love him or Id have totally lost patience by now.

Are you a 'Do it yourself' person or an 'Ask for help' person?
 
I am terribly a "do it yourself" person. Now that the Hippie's not around, I have accomplished some jobs that I probably shouldn't have. Changing the lightbulb in the very high back hall landing was one of them...

We didn't do a newspaper announcement. Too much happening at the time LIttle M popped out. By the time he was three months old, we had moved and I had a new job.
 
So tomorrow could be interesting. My first time at a large, in-person gathering since March 2020. It's a town hall for the IT staff in our corporate group including lunch. A local golf club is the venue and apparently they will be checking our vaccine papers and such. On the one hand, kind of excited because my own team will all be coming in person and it will be the first time we are all together since the pandemic began. And we have added two new faces over the pandemic, one replacing someone who left and one completely new. On the other, yeah, large in-person gathering while COVID is still a concern. Mercifully, London has been spared the worst of the latest outbreak, though Elgin County south of us is getting hammered.
