I do have compassion for those with a phobia, but at some point it just needs to be dealt with. Ignoring dental care because of a fear of needles is a bad idea. Ditto with needed medical testing, treatments.
Some people are having surgeries cancelled, rescheduled, cancelled, rescheduled. Some of them have needle phobias too.
I would guess some pharmacies are accommodating too, depending on supply. Call one at the end of a work week, see if there have doses that can be given that day if scheduling is really causing so much anxiety.
Or get an antianxiety med, not really helpful for the phobia long term, but do it for the short term and then deal with the phobia after.
There are options.
@Mrs.Anteater I do appreciate you too giving encouragement.
I found out some relatives have been avoiding the vaccine - one family plus I suspect a set of parents too, although less known there. 1 got it. The other adult is wanting to wait for something other than mRNA. Why? Dunno. I did share a little sarcastically something about ingredients after a comment about who knows what's in this thing - but that was when the vaccination happened, plus I figured hey, the info in there is still good and their friends may see that, even if it was posted in a different way than I would if someone was honestly concerned and asking.
When I found out the other person isn't going out for the mRNA one I did message privately, offering to get information if it was desired.
There's distance too, so not people I talk to often.
Chemguy was a little harsher with his dad, there was procrastination going on and a bit of lack of planning with medical treatments and timing.
