Looks like the Philipines is adding a Mrna vaccine (Astrozeneca)as their third dose to their two inactivated vaccines. Covering all the bases? Wondering how that will work out?
I wonder if they're thinking the inactivated vaccines were deficient due to recent waves of Covid or maybe failed to realize that all the vaccines tend to "wane" over the months. They started vaccines in January....that's about 8 or 9 months ago.

AstraZeneca has an mRNA vaccine approved for use now too?
 
This is the type of information that needs way more discussion IMO. Not just hospitalizations and deaths.

The risk is more than halved, as the half is comparing those who actually get COVID. Still though, looking at the rates that's a significant amount of people who will have long term effects if we just push vaccination and drop other methods.

That’s good to hear.

People need to get vaccinated. Just today I learn that my eccentric niece – not vaccinated – has Covid. She’s feeling pretty rocky. Her husband & kids have it too. One kid tested negative but my sister says all the kids have the same symptoms and thinks it’s a false negative. She’s the sickest so maybe she got it first, we don’t know.

She‘s 36 so we can only hope she‘ll recover fine (and the whole family).

I hope they all recover ok. Maybe it will be the push to encourage them to get vaccinated in the future.
 
Some folks that refuse the "know" have to be paid to do anything healthy ... and then as destroyers do they wish for the end ... "Ci Fini?

That thing that cruses the pool ... as great fears drift about as odd flash! Gold fish or Kohl unknown?

Adolescents are often like that ... easily roasted ... demands some sense of maturity ... not all corn ... but it could be obscured by the topping of silk!

$100 is not enough to make up for a day of staying home if you feel sick afterwards. There are people who have no paid sick time. My son, for example. I have offered to pay him sick time in case he has side effects, however, his needle phobia is still too strong to do it.
 
I wonder if he needs a reality check- they are already short staffed , now he is going to suspend the unvaccinated-
even if that are only five or ten percent of his staff- how does he think they are going to manage? And, seriously, who does he think would like to return to the job under those shortage conditions?
Maybe he should talk to the immigration minister to try to get some keen immigrants here ASAP.
