it's a humid morning in S. Ontario. I had a gastronight, and so was being rather lazy this morning, still feeling not well. Then, i thought, i wonder. So, I made myself a hangover cure of fried eggs with lots of grease. Ate it an hour ago, and seems to be doing the trick. See, all those years of drinking in my youth had a purpose!

Good to have the knowledge you need !

My news today is that my daughter is winging her way back to her homeport as I type, She completed her contract with Celebrity Apex which is now cruising without her smiling presence. I am curious to hear how her re entry plays out. She has both her shots and expects a 3 day hotel quarantine followed by more days at home.

Good morning. It's another warm day here. Thankfully the nights cool down. We do have AC if it stays hot. We expect days of above 30 in the next few days.

Good to hear. We have always cruised with Carnival so I don't really know Celebrity's ships save from exterior views when they have been in port with us.

Celebrity ships are much desired by crew members, so our daughter says. She has been very happy with her situation on board. Apex is now on its very first cruise. It, and a sister ship, are HUGE!

Yeah, the new Carnival ships are bigger, too. My last cruise was on a new ship and it showed. Still nothing next to the new Royal Caribbean ships, though. One was in port when we pulled out of Miami on that cruise and it is massive.

My sister had a lot of fun in her late 30s and 40s being crew/divemaster on smaller diving vessels in the Caribbean. Eventually she had to decide it was a younger person's gig. She could do the divemaster stuff still, but it was all the other "crew duties" that made for very long days.

Good morning, all! Happy Fathers' Day to those who observe it. A day for BBQ's, and thoughts of cruise ships, those who cruise or work thereon, even a treatment for hangovers. (Very educational here some mornings!) Anyway, the cart is up and running. Help yourself.

A day to do nothing to mar the peaceful sans of time (beyond us) ... for it is said they don't wish to hear from us when we become the past and bad NU's ... bare at that ... rye to be sure will bring on loss of IT (the very thought)!

This the deep sense of the ancients and buried and near silenced ... the NDE?

You have to love mysteries without ends ...

Good morning and Happy Father's Day to the Dads, grandads, dads-to-be, or whatever out there. Seems like a nice day here, if a bit warm and muggy. Showers arriving later in the evening.

Someone (I think I know who) had a party going behind me last night. Didn't go late, mercifully, but I could hear chatter and music and such much of the afternoon and evening.

Drinking Irish Breakfast tea today. A bit milder flavour that my Scottish Breakfast but still a nice morning tea.

Good morning, folks.

I am hoping that our family will be here for dinner today, and was busy prepping yesterday.
There is a cheesecake and some red wine / chocolate ganache as well as raspberry ganache.
In addition, a watermelon basket is ready to be filled and the fruit is prepped for it. Yum!
Cheesecake was a new recipe for me, and included baking in a water bath, and then resting in that same bath. Took about 4hrs from start to when I put it in the fridge, though actual prep time was minimal.

I'm thankful that there are now outside gatherings again, @Mendalla . That sound of humans laughing is such a good one.

Went to BBQ at juniors- he had forgotten my birthday last week, so BBQ is making up for it.
Picked 16 boxes of strawberries at $2 each this morning.
Found out that the Netherlands also had fathers day today, while Germany has fathers day on the day of Christs Ascension. Which, I think was some day in May.

Greetings and salutations! Rain and thunderboomers through the night here, still the sky is leaking liquid sunshine. Happy Monday, and thanks for the leftovers! Let us gather around the coffee cart, where there is coffee to help and tea in time of need. Help yourself.

Oddly broken branch on a young tree today. Thinking may have been damaged previously and the storm last night just broke it more

Good morning. We're looking forward to having lunch with island friends who are passing through this area today. The truck is also getting an oil change and checkover before we head out on the road in a couple weeks. We're preparing for hot temperatures in the high 30's this week. Prayers may be needed since we've gotten soft
