That's what they are exploring. It is important to figure out what happened as much as possible. Previous speculation about it being started in the lab were political and skewed. It seems the inquiry is more balanced right now

They happen to be one of the few labs in the world that create/experiment/study these deadly viruses ( think I read there are 9 in the world with one out west in Canada) and I believe there is /was a concern prior to Covid that they were "lax" with their procedures that could cause a pandemic.
Of course then there's Bio terrorism.....and it doesn't have to mean that it was China that loosed the virus onto the world...but then you get into the world of espionage.

Actually read a credible theory, early in the pandemic, that it might have entered via pangolins. The peculiar critters are favoured by some Chinese herbalists, who use their powdered scales (keratin) in some of their medicines.

I pay attention as I do try to do things like bloodwork when cases aren't really high. Ie. I went before school started as I should have gone in Sept but went end of Aug.
What everyone else does has effects for society in general.

The last few days I checked we had zero cases and zero new cases and zero new hospitalizations. I spent time at the doctors office and the hospital yesterday without any worries.

CNRL has always been a shady company. The owner, Murray Edwards, moved to the UK to lower his income taxes. I believe he is also one of the shady owners of the Calgary Flames and Stampeders.

For Edmonton, it's been announced K days is off (the major midway type of event here, used to be Klondike days, not sure how many outside of AB know what it is).
Heritage Fest is on, but the entire thing is outdoors so that's safe-ish. My big concern there is with how people get there. There isn't normally parking allowed, it's very crowded buses with various stops in the city set up for the weekend.
Fringe Fest is likely running with in person shows although a bit modified, it ran online last year. I don't think details are sorted yet. Hopefully they can run more outdoor venues.

This could be interesting as 1) codes don't always recognize symbols well 2_general knowledge
I also think the pronounciation of VOC as being a swear is a stretch.
Would have been nice if this came a bit sooner, it may take longer to get people to switch.

Actually, that was not meant to be funny, because if calling it a China virus causes attacks on Asian people, itis not far fetched that calling it by greek alphabet letters could have the same effect. Sadly.

Humans have always had this bent towards self destruction ... believing the self was always the other guy as an alternate to hammer down ... and then ... incredible resolution when the clouds of emotion lifted!

Look what they've done to prairies (buffalo), waters (ocean cod) and mineral as they used up the earth in a rush ... the response is eminent ... the stoic believe they can overcome everything but themselves when out-of-control!

Said to be a good place for Noos clear waste of the time for gods of wisdom ... and they return from whence they come ... anon! Some mythology escapes those without distant understanding ... arms length item ...

Remember the alien schemes of "we must conquer all"? Sketchy as thought in a domain of power ... something to draw upon? Don't got nun ...

Imagine how small icons can lead folk to strong beliefs without knowing the whole context if the small thing stands out to them like gamma ... representing a great darkness ... accepting the night sky is immense and poorly understood util getting right into proper astrophysics!

I'm hoping it will be dropped as people get used to the alphabet labels. It's the problem with the late introduction, if you say delta variant, people don't really know which one that is yet.

Read a medical text and note the references to α, β, and γ articles that refer to many particles in the blood and serum (the latter sometimes known as plasma ... a similar note to what bleeds from the sun in a dark sky! Takes the boredom out of too many ABC's ... God likes variance ... stoics don't! Thus many do not augur well ... change of anything makes e'Mill!

On the radio this week they reported - looking at what is happening in Australia- that the use of hand sanitizer has led to an increase of Noro virus- because people wash their hands less, which is the better way to remove Noro virus. ( Noro virus is what people tend to call “ the stomach flu“, usually happens around the time when the ” real” respiratory flu is going around.) I prefer real flu over Noro, at least you can keep staying in bed and rest instead of running to the bathroom all the time.

Yeah, Noro is the worst. Have not had it in a while but been there, done that, didn't want the t-shirt (it was made of toilet paper).

That's interesting......we seem to have not had much of a flu season in Canada this past winter.
Australia is one of the countries we often use to predict what we put into our flu vaccines for the coming winter.
