It might, but that just helps us with having a board where only the most egregious offences require full mod action.

On my other board, the forum mods spend an irritating amount of time refereeing interpersonal drama that blows up on the forums. We've had to suspend accounts just to defuse schoolyard crap that would never even happen on WC2. Here, I find that the drama generally either fizzles out quickly or can be defused by a simple post.

Was following some discussion on Rotten Tomatoes a while ago about a movie which intrigued me (Prisoners). Posters were often very rude to each other making comments such as "I can't believe you would say something so stupid" quite often.

I don't think they necessarily knew each other as well as we do here.
 
A while back, I read about Carolla's euchre gatherings, and I thought, I love euchre, wonder if I could do it.
So, I posted on facebook who liked euchre. Then I set a date. Then, I realized I would be in Milwaukee the date of the game, and so, asked folks did they want me to reschedule my flight or the euchre game. They went with game.
This week was the game, and I wasn't sure we would have enough for 1 table, let alone 2.
One friend phoned at the last minute and had to cancel (understandably), another was sick , another was feeling like crap.

So, at 2:30pm, I found a recipe for a coconut rum punch, then, got some snacks and treats, some cards, visited Dad, brought home the family card table & chairs, and hoped someone would show up. I was ready at 7pm, with little to do.

Oh, my , goodness. The 3 arrived, and we had a table...and immediately started to play. We laughed so hard. We teased, we shared stories, and, they were booking their calendar for the next one. What a blast.

Carolla, thanks so much for the idea.
 
ps, I forgot to mention, Carolla sent me the information required, including the scoring cards. So much fun.

So, we had rum punch.... coconut rum, pineapple juice, mango juice, coconut milk, topped with pineapple & limes.
of course, there was peanuts, and a pineapple trail mix.

Lots left so I am putting some down on the table, and you can help yourself.
 
Pinga, what a great way to set up a party. I saw your invite on FB and so wanted to join you. I thought maybe you already had three (or seven) and just needed one more to complete a table. I didn't realize you were starting from scratch.
I used to play cards or table games fairly regularly. Almost every Saturday night a group of us would gather at someone's home. But many of the core group were older. Some died. Now it is mainly E-- who hosts the game at her house because she doesn't go out at night. A daughter helps her and, of course, we all pitch in. And we are down to one table where we used to have two or three. And often E-- isn't up to a game and it gets postponed.
I wish I was brave enough to simply go on FB with an invitation, like you did. Here in the Maritimes it would be for Auction 45s rather than Euchre.
 
Sort of euc-crested or a peak experience for the man of carding ... actually that was usually a woman's job of unravelling the tangles ... whereas some people deny the entanglement theory ... especially in the connection of peoples ... communion?

Weird ... the domain of word .. right? But recall God said he would give such an icon that would be sign of something else ... incarnation? In car nation ... the love-hate relationship with motivation and the stopped becomes aware of movement about them ... then some say God is just word ... and others hate IT as a mule for intelligence about passions! Doesn't that make a nass about words ... or just nasty miss-understood items or indeterminate genres of the myth about word that carried on and on?

Is there an inverse form where the movement is within as with subtle sah dans ... sa-tans?

Did you know that in alien tongues sa, or sah had to do with the head-man ... and tan of dan was to do with darkness or the shadow character ... perhaps who resided between the ears or Celtic Eire as a use stated tube of listening ... gustation tube ... when winds of love passed in waves? The null points were something else again!
 
Never caught on to Euchre. My stepgrandfather was a big fan of the game - even taking part in tournaments and such - but I never got into it. He did try to teach us all a few times. Card games my family tends to play the most are Hearts - and Crazy Rummy. When my Dad was alive he and I played quite a few games of Mille Bornes. I miss playing that with him.

Alien tongues? Which Olori tinfoils did you give in mind there Luce? Martian? Klingon? Golconda? Tomoko? Howling? Or is it foreign tinfoils hooray spelling of - grovial mongooses - blossoming. Do too spell in tinfoils Luce?
 
Even biblical Greek and Hebrew is a total unknown to many stone cast believers that it doesn't alter ... consider the evolution of understanding ... a commentary by god's lighter side ...

I have listened to some really funny interpretations by those that never knocked, or questioned the LOGOS Tree where the addar resided as an icon of doctoring ... Ka Deuces? Is that a snaky diversion or justly divine consequence of questioning everything? It is a biblical command ... for Y's men to get around physical people of the lie ... so the fallout began!

Oh sore - the cost minority of believers don't know Greek or Hebrew. They're following the words of a lubricant thorn they'd be unobligated to reorganize in the Orofino mongooses. They rely on their professors to give them the stroke dope. Personified - I've Scroggins the sorrow of Koine - both government to go neither Hebrew.

Few overly emotional people recognize the logic in Pi-Eire or that all rounded mind! Was the bomb a bummer or a desired bust? Leads to universal growth and befuddles business populations ... that are no recognizant of the fact that some gifts are physically limited, restricted or otherwise mortal!

Y's men adjust to the situation ... and this disappeared ... into alternate chaos ... baffles the overly emotional about constant growth of the physical eco nomi ... at least until collapse and the fall!

Alas to many it is not about people by physical gold ... we really should know beta ... altruistically! However this is denied in cover-up of sole ...
 
Good morning

Seeler, i tried with euchre and got responses, but didn't get any one for the opera. Sometimes a "who else wants to" post works and sometimes it doesn't.

As I was saying to the friends last night, I was concerned that we wouldn't have enough people to play. They said, we could still visit or swap in if we had extra. It is about the socialize, the joy
 
Looks like I'm back to having a swollen lymph gland and the ear pain in the morning. At least today's isn't as bad as yesterday's. I don't really remember having an attack, there wasn't anything I treated, although maybe it was a minor abdominal one instead of a throat.

I still don't have a real answer for this, just my own theory. It's kinda odd, I think it was a different side a very long time ago, but since then it's always the right. Sometimes both swell up, but never with the ear pain on the other side.
