We have people with those outdoor fireplace things who stink up the neighborhood on cool summer nights. And while our fireplace is gas, there are still quite a few houses with old school wood ones that are sometimes a bit indiscriminate in how they use them.
Same neighbours installed a wood burning stove this summer and it is directly across from my bedroom window...I am hoping and praying for only north winds this winter.

My neighbour, who is quite full of himself) assured me our smoke issues were from the structures that burned in Washington "as noone is ever bothered by woodsmoke". I disagreed. BA should you move bedrooms? You now have that choice. and celebrating clear air today.

"as noone is ever bothered by woodsmoke"

Your neighbour is full of more than himself. We had the en suite bathroom window open to air it yesterday (the exhaust fan sucks) and someone nearby had a fire going. Consider me bothered.

smoke is smoke...some does smell better than others but it still bothers

The other bedrooms are directly opposite the neighbour's fireplace chimney on the other side of the house - and since the winter wind is usually from the north (NW) a lot of that smoke enters the house since it is also very close to the fresh air intake

Happy Monday! Fall is in the air, and just beginning to appear on the ground. The last days of summer are slipping away.

It was chilly for our morning walk today. There's a nip in the air. Fall is making its entrance here

I didn't cover the plants as it wasn't too get too cold...it was a crisp 36F when I got up so hopefully (fingers crossed) nothing froze as the frost didn't seem to go to the ground

Oddly given that it is the start of Fall this week, it is warming up here as the week goes on. Low to mid twenties.
