A farmer friend contacted their neighbour and got permission for me to get rocks from their rock pile as accessible from the road.
Ah, something not so simple in the city. I may see if I can convince Chemguy to go for a drive sometime just south of us and see if anyone's about on private property.

Most of my extensive rock collection came from a once-abandoned, now revitalized (look up quarry industry and wind farms) quarry in Southeastern Ontario. 12-20 rocks per year, every year, for a LOT of years.

Sounds like it came from Ontario. We had 4" of rain on Sunday last. Most recorded in one day. Glad for you, BA, that you pushed on and got the deliveries done. Liked Rev King's column about "sea change".

Now, LAST, as I contemplate making dinner. Beef stroganoff is on the menu; there's steak, mushrooms, shallots, sour cream and some fresh linguine in waiting.

Is there somewhere it's still Wednesday?

LAST. (And I was going to say 1917 in the U.S., but nah, they handled that pandemic much better.)

There may be some remote place that refuses to follow our calendar that may still be Wednesday (or another day)
