Things evolved very gradually. When I came back from Germany February 27 th, there was no rule to self isolate and I went to work the next day. My colleague went to Las Vegas the week before March break, came back during March break and had to stay home for two weeks, but at that time, NS first closed its borders to other provinces and it had exceptions for healthcare workers.
It still had the rules for several weeks, that healthcare workers were supposed to come to work, even when potential covid contact had happened ( like working in an assessment clinic) as long as they didn’t have any symptoms.
That , I believe has changed about three weeks ago. I suspect that they were afraid to not have enough healthcare workers if they made people stay at home for two weeks.
I don’t know about NB rules. But, the same exceptions are for truck drivers going between Provinces. I am just wondering if that doctor even broke any rules, or if NB had made exceptions to healthcare workers as well as long as they didn’t show symptoms.
