A colleague at work said that two of the victims were his ex-inlaws. Not sure where she got the info from.

It hasn't been mentioned in any of the victim profiles that I have read, unless it's something that has just come out.

The Globe is reporting that while they are sure he acted alone, the police haven't ruled out him having some kind of logistical support. They are apparently investigating to see if those people can be found and charged, as happened to the people who supplied arms and ammo to that shooter in the deaths of four Mounties in Mayerthorpe, Alberta.

Maybe check out who should have put out the Amber Alert......o_O

We all know people who are jovial to some and violent to others. Many spouse abusers are well liked outside of the home. In fact, when the police show up the police somethings think it's the victim who's the problem. Charming and jovial can be red flags.
So how do you separate the actual Charming and jovial person from the Charming and Jovial person that's just pretending? Often it's just the spouse, gf, bf that know.....until they seek help ...or worse.

One way is to see how they respond to being told no. Someone who is a potential danger will not accept being told no. They will make it about them and maybe throw a tantrum, mild or not. Their charm can be absolutely genuine and not fake. It's usually though all about them and getting what they want.

Sometimes it's just "gut" feeling. It just doesn't seem right. While it often works well for them, and can be socially acceptable (functional?), other situations may be problematic. (See above)

Well I've got to say, I've been fooled.....they're good actors.....often many people wouldn't have a clue until the one being abused speaks out or reaches out....but I suppose there's many scenarios that could trigger an abuser.

Patience phoqah (sentient flows) fools rush in ... there is much to be revealed --- Vanilla's Guise Syndrome vs the Oreo ... ona a simple flash the other deeper!

That sounds exactly like Donald Trump --- the scariest and most dangerous man in the world.

I think the RCMP is trying to deflect blame. Now it’s all about how it was hard to get someone on the phone to get permission to put out an alarm. Yet they had no trouble putting a warning on Twitter and facebook

the community should have been warned. Of course that doesn’t actually mean you will change your plans, despite what people say after the fact.

sadly, there Are lots of people who are unhappy, have rages and yet e can’t possibly lock people up for having bad personalities. And how do you ever know when someone is going to snap

How does one answer the speculators of what was best to do if "all" at the time were in turbulent waters because of what they didn't know ... yet there will be those that exert that they are determinant about everything ... de edified?

I too would be hesitant at the populace that tends towards prejudice ... a fixation?

So today I was on a meeting call with somebody in California. She commented that she'd only been to Canada once, when she was ten - so of course I asked her where she visited. Her reply - "a small place - Portapique". My jaw dropped - she had not heard about the recent tragedy. What are the chances, eh?

I don't think it's been reported much outside Canada. I posted about it on my writing boards, which are predominantly US and UK residents with a smattering of Aussies and Canucks, and that seemed to be the first they had heard about it.

That is typical US not interested in the rest of the world. It was on the main German news and I got some worried emails the same day from friends and family.

Is an enlightened public a danger to the unknowing authority?

Does this fit with the CNN is only media ... and thus it can't be true to those that have blind faith in small things? Like fly droppings on the windows suffer accrued senses ... they too add up!
