Everybody coming into our hospital gets tested for Covid aside from all other tests. Can you tell me when was the last time that people in Western countries died by the hundreds in one city or counrty within 24 hrs? Can’t remember? So, what’s you problem again? If they don't offer tests to everyone as soon as possible, to seperate those with covid from those with other illness and those who already have antibodies, I think we're getting screwed around.
I'm skeptical about whether the presumptive cases can be attributed to covid. They are not widely testing and everything seems to be being attributed to covid.
Of course but it's not necessarily healthy forever.
Every single day people in any given country die by the hundreds or thousands.Everybody coming into our hospital gets tested for Covid aside from all other tests. So do I. I'm not breaking the rules so I am not "dismissing" them. Pardon me for being skeptical of a world under lockdown. Because that's just normal and fine.Well time will tell. Dismiss the experts as you will. I hope you and those you love stay well.
Hospitals maybe. In general when people have a cold or flu they don't go to the hospital and if they need to go to the doctor for a note they rarely get tested. It's generally seen as a waste of resources if it's going around and it's obvious.Everybody coming into our hospital gets tested for Covid aside from all other tests. And right now we're trying to minimize that as much as possible.Every single day people in any given country die by the hundreds or thousands.
So what about the deaths caused by the fallout of this. They will affect people of all ages in the long term. Given that, I'd keep a skeptical eye on this.
No we're not. What about all the other causes? Is the solution to never leave the house again except for groceries? And right now we're trying to minimize that as much as possible.
Why do you think so much effort is being put in by so many different people? No we're not. What about all the other causes?

I think the effort is being misspent. It should spent on wide testing to isolate those who verifiably have covid from those who don't and determine who already has antibodies - not draconian measures. Why do you think so much effort is being put in by so many different people?
Testing, testing! They (the powers) dropped the freaking ball and they are very close to exploiting us (the public) because of their own mistakes.Part of the reason for these extreme measures is to prevent that as much as possible. If the hospital is overwhelmed by people sick with Covid they won't be able to help people with other health emergencies.
There's a fair bit of testing being done. There has been effort being put into other ways of getting tests.I think the effort is being misspent. It should spent on wide testing to isolate those who verifiably have covid from those who don't and determine who already has antibodies - not draconian measures.
Testing itself doesn't fix any of the issues that prevent deaths though
Yeah, and it's not just 1 aspect you need:And there aren't enough tests to go around.
Because this virus spreads so quickly and because there are so many unknowns, social measures are the best approach right now.
But @Kimmio Laughterlove if you know better than the experts please do connect with them and offer your expertise.....
Sure, there will be negatives come from this. How could there not be? There will also be policy change and positives. Heck, Ford and Freeland are getting along. Who knew that could happen?
The ball was dropped. They’ve had months. It’s (covid) probably been here in Canada and elsewhere besides China since December being assumed to be a bad cold/ flu.Yeah, and it's not just 1 aspect you need:
- people to do the sampling
- swabs
- all the different aspects to do the testing, for PCR this includes the machines, solvents, enzymes, nucleotides
- people to run the tests, interpret and report them
- people to inform individuals if their test is positive/negative
