Rest In Peace: tomorrow,tomorrow
City council is voting on the first strip club in Sask. tonight.

It is MPO that we don't need it and it is demeaning to the women who strip ( although

it does mean a paycheck)).

What is your opinion.

By the way, it is suppose to pass at council.

Wow - I'm amazed there are currently none in Sask! Or maybe there are & they're just not officially sanctioned.

Lots of issues with them in Toronto - the exploitation of women, gang activity, violence ....

We're likely to lose one. Famous Flesh Gordon's, one of the oldest in London, was closed down due to liquor violations (mostly related to the owner being a full patch Hell's Angel) and our city has, over recent decades, tended to retire licenses for ones that close rather than putting them back on the market. Not sure how many we now have. I know of two that I pass while driving around but there could be others.

My roomie was a stripper for a while. She was an Integrated Studies student, interesting person. Dance, psychology & Kin . She made some money at local bar (The Kent in Waterloo and a couple of other places).
Relatives work at a strip club (high end) in Windsor, and others at the casino. I am guessing they would say the casino is a worse job.

The one time I ever went to a strip club was in Belleville with a small group of friends. I got booted out before I saw any of the stripping - because they carded me and I didn't have proper I.d. I did see the pre-show - which was a hypnotist.

I always get booted out of strip clubs ... seems most of the patrons to not like it when I want to talk about their own children or spouses stripping in public for pay. And if the patrons don't object ... the proprietorship does.

Insert obligatory "flat" joke here.

In junior high my chemistry teacher said "we will need something flat for this experiment" my chemistry partner piped up "use Saskatchewan (not my real name) ... flat as a board and never been nailed" As I did not have the benefit of "sex education" I did not 'get' it at the time ... unfortunately ... could have probably filed a lawsuit and rescued my family from years of poverty if I had ... but then again maybe not ... back in those days we didn't have as many human rights has the kids do today.

Let the chips fall where they may...whether the bills are secured by the 'high' end or the 'low' end ... strip club or casino ... the cash that you carry in or leave with is probably 'dirty' in one way or another.

We use to close stores completely Sunday and Monday too. Took a long time to change that too.
"and I lift my glass to the Awful Truth which you can't reveal to the Ears of Youth except to say it isn't worth a dime And the whole damn place goes crazy twice and it's once for the devil and once for Christ but the Boss don't like these dizzy heights we're busted in the blinding lights, busted in the blinding lights of CLOSING TIME" - LC

... I'm a hundred and when I'm wearing something tight this is still my favorite song to strip to ... alone ... in the dark .
