TRUMP - Some people think......... How do you feel?

I feel this way with you. Your no voting edict is a stupid way to arrive at freedom, if it even can. Freedom to live in a decimated back to the Stone Age world perhaps. I don't want that and I don't think you ultimately do either. I'm resisting your authoritarian impulses. You seem opposed to taking steps for change and just want to cancel democracy instead. You lack patience.

Epstein killed himself because he was either going to be on death row or in prison for the rest of his life. No, neither the Clintons or Trump were involved in his death. Who finds that meme funny?

Hillary is not Bill. Bill lied to her with Lewinsky and what else we may never know, she may never know...she keeps loving him. Ever met anyone, a decent woman, who was in love with a gangster playboy type - or ensnared by sociopathic charm? There are millions of women who are. (you liked Alex Jones. Somebody actually married and had kids with that guy...is she him? No. Is she responsible for his f***ed up behaviour? No.) ...it still must be stressed that Bill and Hillary are two different individuals and whatever wrongs they’ve each committed are not one in the same. I don’t believe Hillary is a sexual predator. I do question her political policy and would’ve continued to had she been elected...but she would not have wrought the same damage Trump has - the Supreme Court being the worst damage. Bill?....? He’s proven himself to be pretty creepy even before the Epstein thing came out. But he is Bill Clinton, he is not Hillary Rodham.

Good press photography skills never get mentioned anymore, because everyone takes and posts photos now - but the photo in this article is great. It’s a work of art. A painting caught on camera. And it’s not because Trump looks good or bad - it’s the whole room and everyone in it, the colours, the retro logo...Trump of course, in the foreground, pointing at the camera, concerned with media attention; and the gaggle of photographers outside the door on the other side of the room, with their lighting and flashes, all wearing black suits. The way it’s visually framed is perfect. There’s something so stylistically French about it (yes I know it was in France)...even just that moment...like something out of a 40 year old French film.

I haven’t even read the whole article, just commenting on the photo.

Love is bereft with lies as it is a widespread affliction ... and most people deny how it causes them to make intelligent mistakes for the inverse systems ... thus where we'e at ... a lot of the hoards hate the whole thing!

Hi,
it's fallacious to refer to both sides being equally culpable.
Each serves the principle of division (devil) by resort to the strategies of accusation (satan). The left accuses the right and the right accuses the left. The population is divided by persons in service to power. This notion being rooted in the formative philosophy of the modern epoch. That philosophy well articulated by Thomas Hobbes as the restless striving of power after power which ceases only in death. That philosophy stands at the heart of our exploitation and oppression of the earth and its peoples. Its key principle being divide and conquer. The consequence is now evident for those with eyes to see.

George

"So that in the first place, I put for a general inclination of all mankind a perpetual and restless desire of power after power, that ceaseth only in death. And the cause of this is not always that a man hopes for a more intensive delight than he has already attained to, or that he cannot be content with a moderate power, but because he cannot assure the power and means to live well, which he hath present, without the acquisition of more. And from hence it is that kings, whose power is greatest, turn their endeavours to the assuring it at home by laws, or abroad by wars: and when that is done, there succeedeth a new desire; in some, of fame from new conquest; in others, of ease and sensual pleasure; in others, of admiration, or being flattered for excellence in some art or other ability of the mind." Thomas Hobbes: "Leviathan"

The only way things are going to change here is if we come together as one human race.

Government policy reflects nothing but corporate interest.

We simply can’t afford to sit around much longer, letting our planet suffer.

“Democrats and republicans are two wings of the same bird, and the flight path doesn’t change.” – Unknown.

In today's context of the sides being refered to in this conversation over the past couple of days, it's fallacious to refer to both sides being equally culpable.

I for one am not saying that both sides are equally culpable. In this day of polarized thinking, we must find ways to work with those on the other side who have the same desire to have a better world. Not all on "the right" are evil.

This bears repeating. Thanks George.

No. Currently, in the US where the far right has power, and around the world the right represents an authoritarian power threat and the left is fighting for equality and against the right's abuse of power. I think this needs recognizing and repeating. There is no "both sides" argument right now. Sorry, but you are wrong on this.

I'm not seeing that desire on the right as long as they are going to tow the party line and keep backing up Trump and not do anything to get him out of office. Denying the obstruction in the Meuller report, not even considering impeachment, excusing DT's lies and racist remarks, overlooking his white supremacist support, not looking into the 25th amendment when it was clear a long time ago something's wrong with Trump's mental state, backing Trump's policies at the border where people are being held, including kids (6 have died in custody) in poor overcrowded conditions. Families have been separated and they didn't track who and where parents of kids were. Raids on workplaces sending parents back to their countries and leaving kids frightened to death. Sending adults back to countries they left as small children, countries they don't know. Condoning abuse of American congresswomen (3 of whom are natural born citizens) to chants of "send her back". Appealing to a foreign leader to not allow said elected US congresswomen into that country to bear witness to what's going on there. Brown skinned citizens being harassed. Excusing their continued mutual support between the right and the NRA after several mass shootings. No they don't want a better world for everyone. They want a world amenable to themselves that keeps them wealthy and powerful - and far right evangelicals claim to support all this s**t and abuse in the name of God. With all that going on how can anybody who is decent still support the right?

You're not seeing it because you're not even looking. There is a difference between principles and specifics. You are talking about Trump and his supporters. That's specifics. I'm talking about values. There are people who hold healthy right-wing values. What you're describing is the Republican policies which bear little to no resemblance to what the party stood for or what healthy conservatives believe.

There are conservatives who cannot stand the direction in which the president is taking the country. They are working on that. Perhaps work with people like that to find common ground. There is indeed common ground. Both conservatives and liberals who want money spent wisely and for citizens to live healthy lives.

After spending many years in a conservative part of the country I'm finding it interesting being in a more liberal part of the country, arguable the most liberal. This area does fit with my values better. At the same time, there's some whackadoodle (best word I can come up with before coffee kicks in) views on the left as well.

Simple, you just keep repeating the litany of lies. All of which there is sane proof of all the misrepresentations.

The left always say what they say Trump said, but it is never the actual recording of what Trump said.

Bernie was kicked out of a commune for being lazy. People who are on the right work for reward. People on the left think they deserve to be able to take from those who work.

People on the right believe that if everybody who are able to work gave 10%, that would be enough to support those who cannot work.

People on the left want everything given to them by a government for free, knowing it is not really free, but that somehow the money will be extorted from those who work.

The Liberal government of Canada does not allow MPs to be pro life. Meaning there is no Liberal MP who cares about what I care about.

The left always say what they say Trump said, but it is never the actual recording of what Trump said.

And yet it is easy to find Trump saying things in context. Things that support the idea that he is a liar and narcissistic, etc. The man lives to have the spotlight on him. He is not a saint

People on the right believe that if everybody who are able to work gave 10%, that would be enough to support those who cannot work.

OMG. I must be on the right because that's what I believe. If we're privileged enough to see the fruits of our labour and have things to share, we need to share. By helping others through our own giving and through social supports, we are creating space where those who are currently down and out can become productive citizens

People on the left want everything given to them by a government for free, knowing it is not really free, but that somehow the money will be extorted from those who work.

Now you're just spreading lies and propaganda.....
