Reading body language in the video, it was definitely not done out of anger - looked like more of a dare or stunt.

You are SO right about this - and I'm one of those folks! My plan to do a simple gentle exercise programme - maybe 3 times /week has not come to fruition. It's been interesting to observe my own procrastination/resistence to this. So I will go back to a class in two weeks time.

In our area - people who finish the Strong & Steady falls prevention programme have the option to continue with a weekly class run by an OT/PT Assistant who is affiliated with that programme. It's at a local community centre.

Almost everybody I've spoken to claims they find lonely, isolated exercise isn't invigorating. In my town there isn't a good post Rehab option. What is offered is walking around a meeting hall. I have been the only person there a few times. Twice a week someone from the Health sector leads an hour of exercise - it has been the exact same super easy routine for four years!

I have been trying for ages to get a good programme going - there is so much available and so many people who need it. I guess the decision makers in Health would rather spend much more money later!

I am wondering about the motive - was it for the video or was it an anger outbreak? Why is the person taking the video not before the court, he she could have prevented it. If it was anger, I think some mandatory therapy would be in order. If it was for the fame of an online video, I think she and the others sho7ld be ordered an online confession of guilt and stupidity and a six month bei g barred from online media.
There were 4 other people present. Other things were thrown too, not just the chair. I wouldn't be surprised if some of them will be facing charges too, but the evidence that was seen was of 1 person throwing a chair. Like Carolla, I don't see anger as the factor.

Why not get a group together? There are many online options and DVDs.

I don't have the health to lead a group and, so far, haven't found anyone to volunteer . Best, of course, would be one of the trained people from Health, but the higher ups aren't willing to release one for an hour or so on a regular basis. In their minds they are already doing that with the other programme that is SO BORING!

Must be frustrating for you Kay. Is there perhaps a group of you that might get together - maybe even at a church hall (gasp! LOL) to follow some video instruction?

I thought of videos - but I can barely see them on my monitor sometimes. They would be a good resource but not much use for a group. All we need really is someone who can easily make the moves and talk at the same time!

A Qi Gong class would be perfect for you. Gentle movements, emphasis on stability, breathing, mindfulness. Our local senior's centre offers a variety of classes, among them Qi Gong.

Even some gyms do it that way. Use a large screen.

Hah, our old springer is lying on the floor, snoring soooo loud.

Thinking of those who haven't posted for a while. Hoping they are well and know that we think of them.

We had a lovely brunch with my son and his partner, and the wee one. Times have changed since ours were little. Enjoyed watching her eat today. She is self-feeding, and was chowing down on blackberries which she very much liked.

My mutt (foxhound/husky?) turned 8 last fall, and this winter, I've seen the first signs of any age, in that she doesn't have quite the total control of all four (long) legs she used to have. A half dozen times, outside on ice, on the hardwood floor, I've seen her feet go out from underneath her in a way that used not to happen. Don't really know how to tell her to slow down...

We really thought we would lose our springer in the month before the move. he turned around after the move, and is doing so much better. About two weeks ago, though, he quit eating again We were worried. kept an eye on him. tried different food. at this point, if he eats, he gets it.

then, on Sunday, he started eating again. on retrospect, we think he had hurt his mouth. I wonder if it happened one day when he did a leap of a wall instead of taking the long way round. trouble is, he can't leap like he used to. I saw him hit his chest on the wall, but i wonder if he hit his jaw too poor thing.

he was running and playing in the snow yesterday. not bad for 14.

We have been really lucky with this guy.

We're really thankful that Helios is healthy again. When we got sick we feared the worst.

Dogs really become part of our lives age hearts

I've just brought some red wine to share. Cheers

Cheers. My Lucy had the very bad luck to suffer from a bad crush fracture of one of her rear tibia about age 3. She had great orthopedic surgery, and vet figures she's got about 85% normal strength in the leg. But the imbalance seems to be getting worse. Starting to wonder if doggy chiropractor might be way to go. She is so much a part of my heart. And, as with mutts, want her to live to great old age... But she's crazy-bouncy.

My family's cat Star died shortly after Yobo and I came to Korea. The vet said it was cancer, but I'm pretty sure poor Star was rather heartbroken.

Tonight we had a roast chicken on the bbq for dinner. I had forgotten how good they are.
I had wild rice from years ago that we hadn't eaten, and so I cooked up some of it, along with plain rice. again yum.
I also made baked apples -- such a simple dessert, so easy to make. They were so yummy.

So, I made more baked apples for the room. They are fresh out of the oven. There is ice cream in the freezer if you would like some with them.
Also, if you didn't have much dinner, and feel like a sandwich, there is some delightful roast chicken leftover and I think that is some of @Carolla 's bread waiting for a sandwich.

We had a nice visit with my sister this afternoon. We had tacos for lunch. Very delicious. Need to do that more often. We all had a good talk. She of course is in my corner. She responded well.

Fried red meat, cheese and sour cream. Nothing beats that.
