Okay.

I do note that between the time this year's Secret Santa began and now - the present I sent successfully made the trip from Korea to Canada, and a package my youngest son sent us successfully made the trip from Toronto to Korea.
 
@Jae , and if sent early, it would have been caught in the strike, and depending on where it was sent from, it may have had to go through a few hubs, as compared to the one heading there from Toronto.

So, I hope you will carry the spirit of Christmas with you, and be gracious as you await your gift.

I imagine my package to Canada also had to go through a few hubs. It managed to successfully arrive.

Definitely agree with keeping things merry and bright.
 
When my son first moved to Korea he would request I sent him things and of course I always had a Christmas box. I was surprised at how much it cost me of anything especially a heavy box that contained a bottle of maple syrup among other things. I was also surprised at the different times that it would take for something to arrive at its destination. The first few packages I sent took about six weeks. Then one arrived in two weeks. So it was almost impossible to say when I should mail his birthday gift or his Christmas gift to have them arrive before but near the appropriate times. Mailed in November they still might not make it by December 25 – mailed 1 December they might be there by the 15th.
I started sending things by Amazon. Found out he could order through Amazon faster and cheaper than I could.
We agreed to cut back on sending parcels.
 
The timing of mailing things is an exercise in guesswork. My partner and I each mailed a small parcel from the local PO. before the disruptions. Same day, same time, same type of package, same cost for the service, same destination city. One arrived in less than a week. One took five weeks to get to its destination.
 
I'm planning to wait till Christmas (though whether or not I hold out that long is open to question)

I mailed a small package to Australia ages ago (likely a couple months) and it's still not there. I would not expect a package going to Korea would be quick.
 
Mailing is likely in the timing. No one knows the stops, delays, or if they get a green light all the way.
I may have been the lucky one and it had green lights at least some of the way.
 
Friday December 7th, I sent three parcels, one to each end of the country (BC, Maritimes) and the other to the middle (Prairies). Similar size and lumpiness; all cost about the same (BC was a bit pricier). Two arrived on the 12th, the third (the BC island one) arrived on the 14th. Intra-Canadian mail seems to be pretty consistent; outside of Canada, you're dealing with at least twice as many postal systems. Possibly multiple languages.
 
In 1966 I had a friend living in Canada. I could write her a letter, send it and get a reply in seven/eight days. Now it takes over a week one way.
 
Today, the 21st of December, I got a card from England postmarked the 12th. 9 days at the holiday season seems reasonable and normal to me.
 
One way weak Ness ... a dark power of mythology about people that care deeply about communication networking!

This should be interfered with ... for anti pragmatic activity to depress the lesser even further as pragmatism is expressed as a good for all ... but here and now it isn't so!

Western moves to antisocialism? This shite goes on in gobs ...
