TRUMP - Some people think......... How do you feel?

But you know, kimmio, the "right" doesn't comprise just the extreme right. It encompasses lots of "conservative" thinkers - those who look to the past for solutions. You might not like the exact balance of left and right at present, but the fact remains that one needs both "wings" - both those who look to the past for solutions, and those who look to the future for inspiration. It's not an either/or thing, but a both/and thing.

In my experience, the left hand is generally lazy, fumbling around waiting for the right hand to do everything. When you do force it into action, it is quite a spazz at most things the right hand does without even thinking.

True the left hand is better than nothing. But it has no business telling the right hand how to do things.

Esp. since the Right Hand has a wider more developed Moral Sense

Also your riff reminds me of a real incident where some Westerners came upon a "more primitive" people whose crops were tied heavily into their religion and culture and these Westerners said they could improvd vastly (scientifically) their yield, more efficient, etc with none of that superstitious nonsense necessary.

So they tried it out.

And nearly died.

So they went back to their old ways.

Sounds like one of us Liberals/Progressives again thinking we're better

So thank you, Pontifex Geronimo 13, we Left hands need you to survive this heavily complex world

Centrally Fringe,

Nope. The centre has shifted. In my opinion, and lots of actual political analysts (there's a map I'll look for - Harper was there in Obama's quadrant with him - but Canadians correctly were suspicious of his xenophobic omnibus bills and other authoritarian moves), someone like Trudeau or Obama would be right of centre. They campaign to the left and govern to the right, those neoliberals. The right is so extreme today, they think those two are practically Karl Marx himself.

And the centre right will always go further right and make excuses for the social misery that causes - they represent the wealthy - they seem to never move left.

Exactly

Its in all aspects of reality
Even bacteria
When they find a food source they become sessile, put down roots...
And when the food source begins or runs out, some of the bacteria lose those roots and become innovators, searching for new food sources...
Evolution has done a good job with us

Obama is right wing compared to Canadians
Everyone is in USA.
That's just how it works.

The real problems are those on the fringe, the extreme Liberals and Conservatives...the Stalins and Pol Pots...

And this shift to the extremes, towards the Stalinism of Antifa and those who believe in social conflict theory (with coerced speech) and the Hitlerism of Nazis are what various groups are trying to slow down or stop or deal with...like Jordan Peterson, the IDW, Quillette, Sam Harris, EFF, Candace Owens, sombunall postmodernists, Maajid Nawaz, just to name a few very recent modern examples...

I don't know how successful we're gonna b; we're dealing with mass behaviour

But we're gonna keep trying

You and I I think want the same thing: a fairer world.

Eris Failing,

Antifa (because they exist doesn't make anti-fascism itself bad) though definitely bad behaviour, scuffles with the neo-Nazis who organize to come to towns from elsewhere (scuffles to try to keep them out), vandalism - has not been responsible for recent deaths by extremists in the US. The majority have been from the far right. Not the far left, not Islam - but the far right.

So, for Jordan Peterson to spend most of his time arguing against the left - he's either stupid, or he's underhanded. I don't think it's the former.

Yes. Neoliberals really ramped that up in the past few decades(not progressives or the left - neoliberalism is an ideology that favours corporatism). And the governments who join them lean pretty far right these days.

Denver Paid Clean-Up Company $400,000 to Help in Houseless Sweeps
On November 21, 2018, Denver Homeless Out Loud hosted a rally outside Denver’s City Hall to call for an end to the sweeps, which over the past month have been “at a point of insanity,” according to DHOL member Terese Howard.

“It is at a point where if you are for a second laying down somewhere near the Rescue Mission or the triangle with a sleeping bag, then you are told to move. You are told you cannot cover yourself with that blanket within seconds. There’s cops parked at that area, multiple cops, 24/7 for the past 3 1/2 weeks.” – Terese Howard

Unicorn Riot was live at the rally, which you can watch in full below:

I don’t think Jesus would use that analogy for today’s circumstances...though it is always used anyway.

"Right here at the Denver City and County Building is the Nativity Scene that the City sets up every winter and some folks here tonight were talking about how if Jesus was here today he would be criminalized through the unauthorized camping ordinance by the Denver Government."

Very disappointed with General Motors and their CEO, Mary Barra, for closing plants in Ohio, Michigan and Maryland. Nothing being closed in Mexico & China. The U.S. saved General Motors, and this is the THANKS we get! We are now looking at cutting all @GM subsidies, including....

....for electric cars. General Motors made a big China bet years ago when they built plants there (and in Mexico) - don’t think that bet is going to pay off. I am here to protect America’s Workers!

I'm talking about the political left and right. Jesus' original sayings were not at a time when there was a political left and right. That came out of the French Revelution. Today's right is chasing out Roma and immigrants. If Jesus was a Mexican man, woman or child, he'd be tear gassed at the Mexican border. If he was a child he might be separated from Mary and Joseph, never to see them again. The left and right, politically, are not equally bad. The right is worse. Much worse.
