So, the vid u posted also reminded me of the countless peeps throughout time who had seen humanity living falsely or under some kind of ignorance. So we have (a nonexhaustive list):
the Buddha, Confuscious, Jesus, Maimondes, Oupensky, Gurdjieff, Colin Wilson (a good collator and researcher of all these different peeps), Robert Anton Wilson, Timothy Leary, Alestair Crowley, Terrence McKenna, John C Lilly, Swedenborg, William Blake...

Gnosticism goes a long way 2 help explain a lot of the world. Animism can b helpful too.

The polarization in the US is very dangerous imho and cant imho be cancelled by sheer willpower (i have to think the Truth) i dont think...

btw @BetteTheRed isn't a "you guys"; that unfortunately is othering (it demonizes and gets rid of any nuance she has).

Myself I try to distance myself from the radical and miseryfilled and humourless Left and embrace a Left that is a bit more...sane and full of humour.

One that also accepts the implications of the immaterial and spirits (so that since our true selves, they r indestructible then being afraid that our identities will be destroyed which is which thise involved in Identity Politics r afraid of...)
