Is Ontario headed for another Wynne win?

One might have thought so, yes. Evidently, however, fordnation seems to be stuck in 1984, where 'Ignorance Is Bliss'.

The sage says it is best not to really know thus virtue of known! Then it past over ... wherever thoughts go ...

Some authorities tyrannically state that thoughts do not exist in a emotional/spirited world ... thus soul is an alter essence (closeted to the other spirits)! Near ward robing ...

Conjunctivitis? Right down to the pink ... ashes 've Eros ... read eM deep and weep?

Such emotional things are wispy ...

Funny. My wife took a call the other day from the Ontario PCs, asking if she'd be supporting them on June 7. She said she wouldn't. The woman on the phone asked why. My wife explained why she wouldn't be voting for them, but said "From what I see you'll probably win." Then she told me that the woman who called kind of sighed a bit and said, "I don't know. I'm hearing a lot of what you just told me." Interesting call and an interesting response from someone promoting the PCs.

My experience is that "Ford Nation" has turned off a substantial number of historically-Conservative voters. (I do know some of those; usually elderly relatives of my old guy...)

I was so upset with the Ford win. And struggle it’s what to do. He is a buffoon. I don’t know how vote for him

Yet Wynne? Increased spending. Increased taxes. No plans to improve health care despite the debt. A government past its prime.

Choices are tough

So vote Green or NDP. They both deserve a chance. Green's are more conservative on a number of fronts that you may be unaware of. They're fiscally conservative (talks of balanced budgets, etc.), and a bit anti-union, in platform, anyway.

Another reason why I won't vote for the PCs: Bad economics.

Doug Ford promises to cut gas prices by 10 cents a litre | The Star

So the guy has proposed, to date, specific cuts to corporate, income, and gas taxes as well as scrapping cap and trade. That means a reduction in government revenues of billions of dollars.

But he won't give specifics on how he plans to trim $6 billion from expenditures. How can we believe him when he says he will balance the budget without cutting jobs or programs if the only specific measures he has announced are cuts to revenues, which will increase the deficit and require him to make even more cuts if he is going to balance?

For me to believe the PCs can present a balanced budget that maintains healthcare and other programs at current levels (or even offers small increases as he has proposed in a few areas), we need to see both sides of the balance sheet. Specific revenue cuts cannot be balanced off with vague, smoke and mirrors expenditure cuts.

/end rant

First thing Ford should cut is the sex education of little school children before they are developmentally ready for it.

First thing he should do is implement diversity training for all second cup employees.

Note: that is an inane recommendation of mine. It seems to match the post re sex ed

Yours is a rather strange comment Pinga. Is everything well with you?

Is the Wynne campaign lying??

In a recent campaign ad, a woman says that Wynne has made drugs free for those under 25 and those over 65.

However, my mom tells me that she's charged $100 a year, plus around $4.50 each time she gets a prescription filled.

What's wrong with this picture??

Your mom needs assistance to review with doctor drugs that she is being charged for to find alternate. Also, you could confirm it is a drug. You could also help her review options to reduce her dispensing fee. You can do that for her, right?

So... some drugs are free while some drugs are not...? Also - if the pills she's being prescribed aren't drugs - what else could they possibly be?
