I drove through almost white-out conditions from cambridge to brantford. Not snowing in Paris (well, Five Oaks).
Was blustery & snowy in Cambridge, but, very fine, and not accumulating.

ouch, what a wind though.
wanted to blow me off the highway

Snow on and off here but minimal accumulation and only on grass, dirt, etc. Roads and walks remain clear. Walked over to get my CRV from the shop (ironically, I was getting the tires switched ) and with the wind chill it feels more like February or early March than April.

Snow is falling here in Toronto. It started while I was in Theology class. And now I must take a 2-hour TTC ride home. Brrr.

It snows every few days. It's snowing now. I won't be putting winter stuff away this month. Snow in April is normal. The number of days of snow is not, the cold temperatures are not.

Big pile-up on Highway 400 this aft. It's been slippery/poor visibility. All of the usual 400 traffic is winding through town; the bus system is completely thrown off.

We had 7 degrees at noon and now its 17 degrees. Tomorrow again below sero. I am not taking off the snow tires yet.

Yetii 's a big word when coming to understanding weather and environment ... and the causes of the mess we're in ... like yetus ... we don't know? Allows for gross yacks ... hairy exchange ... and the males are hard headed like human understanding ... a dark unknown idealism!

Yet is best to wait ...

Apparently the weather in this neck of the woods is supposed to slowly warm up over the next week. Might get a Red Letter Day sometime with temps over the freezing mark. It doesn't feel very exciting to realise that it is a DRY COLD.

Have faith you'll soon be arid of it!

Happy weekend all.
Try not to waste too much energy on the weather-it is one of those things that is totally outside our control.

It's hard not to be concerned about the weather when we are getting January in April. We are going for a 7 month winter here. That means 7 months with snow on the ground. Lots of snow. Lots of cold.

On a more positive note, it is our choir concert tomorrow night. The choir DH and I were in before will be joining us. It will be good. Singing helps when the weather is crap.

Oh, Kay, so sorry. Spring in Canada can be such a danger on the roads, but you just don't expect tragedy when you put your kid on a bus to play hockey.

Take no notice of me - I'm hiding under a bunch of prayer shawls in the corner.
Kay, I am guessing there was a post elsewhere; however, i wonder if people are talking about the hockey bus accident. I send you and the community gentle thoughts and wishes, and hope the prayer shawls here are helpful.
peace.

Kay, I missed the post. Anyone you're close to involved? Feel free to just point me the way someone.

Seems... something happened. @crazyheart posted, "Prayers for your communities,@KayTheCurler" and then @BetteTheRed said, "Spring in Canada can be such a danger on the roads, but you just don't expect tragedy when you put your kid on a bus to play hockey."

However, I don't know quite what that... something was. Perhaps... something on their local news that did not reach the rest of the nation.

I found the news story, just wasn't sure how close of a connection it is for Kay.
