Rest In Peace: tomorrow,tomorrow
Prayer of Authority
In the Name of Jesus Christ, By the Power of His Blood... In the Authority of His
Word given to me as a Christian... I bind and reject you satan and I command you to
leave and I seal this room and place of employment, and all the members of my family,...
friends, relatives and possessions, in the Blood of Our Lord Jesus Christ.
I bind and reject all familiar sprits, all companion spirits, all cardinal spirits and spirits
of affliction.
I bind and reject all spirits in the air, in the wind, in fire, in the netherworld, in the
elements, all satanic forces of nature.
I bind and reject all spirits of confusion, disruption, division, fear, disbelief, deaf and
dumb, disobedience, and spirit of games.
I bind and reject all the aspects and attributes of these spirits.
I bind and reject all interlocking spirits...I command that there will be no
communication between you or anyone else. I command that you leave quietly.
In the name of Our Lord Jesus Christ, I break and dissolve every curse, spell, hexes,
evil wishes, evil desires and hereditary seals. I come against all satanic vows, pacts,
satanic sacrifices and Voo Doo practices.
I break and dissolve all links with psychics, clairvayants, astrologers, mediums, occult
seers, satanic cults, fortune tellers, seances, ouija boards, tarot cards and occult
games of all kinds.
Come Holy Spirit and fill this room corner to corner ceiling to floor.
St. Michael, St. Gabriel, St. Raphael, and all the Holy Archangels, come and fight this
battle for me.
I ask the help of all the Holy Angels, Holy Dominations, Holy Powers, Holy Thrones,
and Holy Principalities to be my "Shield of Defense" against all evil spirits.
I ask this in the name of Our Lord Jesus Christ by the power of His blood. and in the
authority of His Word given to me as a Christian. Amen.

well ... google suggests it is a "Spiritual Warfare Prayer" ... there are many versions of it with somewhat similar wording

Sounds like some kind of exorcism ritual to my eye. I can't follow the see more, though. Wants me to login to FB and I'm off there now and plan to stay that way.

I think this version is attributed to Mark Hargrave - from the southern US

@crazyheart - so you saw this on fb - was it referenced or given context? What made you curious about it?

Reading through the thread below on a Catholic site, it is a Charismatic prayer of a type that originated in Pentecostalism but also made its way into Catholicism. Or something like that. There's more in here, including that Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger (later Pope Benedict) put restrictions on prayers like this that command spirits, though the writer who mentions that also advises on how to reword the prayer to get around it.

This is what I hate about FaceBook. It was posted by a woman on my home page. When I tried to find it again. Poof Gone.
See more just takes me to FaceBook Log on.
Anyway, it is not the kind of prayer I would use and I became curious about who would.

Seems like a rather unusual thing to post/share on somebody else's fb page. I assume you know the person who posted it?

It is,as it portends to be.

A Prayer of Authority.

Reads as distinctly Roman Catholic particularly the references to St. Michael, Gabriel and Raphael (Raphael is an angel named in the book of Tobit which belongs to the Roman Catholic canon of scripture).

I would concur with Mendalla that there are exorcism elements (binding and rejecting) within the prayer.

I have no idea what that is about CH. There are lots of weird things that show up when I open FB, hidden among the more interesting items. Many of those things (like this prayer) I just scroll past. To me it is no more interesting than status updates that just say "WTF" or "Now I'm angry" or people describing an ordinary 'kind thing' they did today as if they think they deserve a lot of congratulatory comments. So many people looking for attention!

Strikes me as an exorcism. With somewhat different wording the form would be very similar to a cross between a Pagan Banishing rite and a Protection spell. Which is probably the intended purpose more-or-less.

Things on your newsfeed will change based on facebooks parameters. with the amount of friends many have they couldn't begin to see everything that everyone had shared.
If you see something on your thread, and you remember who posted it, go to their page. you will see it there and can comment if you choose.

Yes, Chemgal, I think it was my news Feed. I NEVER GET THE WORDS RIGHT, LOL
FB has also changed them multiple times. I think the context is a bit different whether it was posted directed to you, or if it was posted for whoever she set to see that post.
