Those who get depressed @ Graemez reports
Realize that even tho places like Yemen and Gaza and Syria are horrific places

They are also places of joy:

I also wonder where people are normally immigrating to, what the most popular countries are? And then look at how much destruction those countries r involved in. If USA is pretty high, then I guess we should also feel bad aboot those people immigrating there because why would they move to such an evil country? Or they are deluded? Things that make me go hmm...

Well, it has become that. But that wasn't how it started.
The real problem, the final one, is greed. It recognizes no boundaries. Capitalism, necessarily is based on greed. (One can call it competition to be socially acceptable. But it has no limits - and that goes beyond competition to greed. Whole nations have been virtually enslaved or, often, destroyed by that greed. Historically, that's been true in China, India. Africa. It's still true in Africa, latin America. Our media don't tell is about the slavery and murder that our corporate leaders have been and are still involved in. And that means Canada, too.
Since 1950 or so, greed has been wildly out of control. We have have been murdering and torturing all over the world. And, in all history, that has created huge wealth for the moneyed class - but poverty for most others - as in Victorian England - and as in Canada and the U.S. today.
This is not only greedy, it is stupid. Such greed out of control cannot be sustained. It destroys great masses of people and, inevitably, it destroys the wealthy, too, as they destroy their own markets.

Remember business is business ... and people are disposable or prone to elimination ... thus pistis Sophia ...

I sense an unknown synchronicity ... not yet seen by many hosts ...

Worst American presidents? Maybe. But the choice is made in view of the creator of this list who is, to say the least, conventional.
Obama, in foreign policy, followed exactly the same path as Bush jr. Ronald Reagan is the man who laid the groundwork for the unleashed thievery by billionaires of the post war period. George Washington is the man who made it possible for the poor to be barred from voting. He also launched the wars that destroyed America's native peoples. Harry Truman (very popular) is the man who dropped two, unnecessary nuclear bombs, killing masses of innocent people. He launched the Korean War, killing one third of the whole population of North Korea. He also was planning to nuke North Korea, a move that would have obliterated the North, and created a war with China. Lincoln? He didn't give a damn about the slaves. In fact, the reason for that war was to protect the growing wealth of industrial capitalists in the north. (nor did he come out against slavery until long after the war had begun.) JFK? He's the man who advocated an invasion of a Cuba trying to rid itself of American gangsters, and trying to make its people more than slaves for U.S. capitalists He is the one who aggressive behaviour toward Cuba is what caused the Cuban missile crisis? And can you name any significant social legislation he ever introduced?
There are a lot of slimes and sleezes among the presidents of the U.S. (Oh, Teddy Roosevelt - who happily plunged the U.S. into a series wars to enslave and plunder the people of Latin America.)

Cuba was and perhaps still is a government for the people. The whole point of the rebellion was to put an end to those who had been debasing and exploiting the people. Canada and the U.S. have never had a government for the people. The priority has always been to cater to the wealthy on the idiotic theory that supporting the rich will help all of us.
We have had isolated examples of legislation that were for the benefit of the whole people - medicare springs to mind. (But that is not under subtle attack here in New Brunswick.)
The old CCF party was aimed at the benefit of the people. However, it is so diluted now as the NDP that I'm not sure much is lift. The Greens aim at the benefit of the people - but there range of concerns is much too small.
I knew members of the old communist party in Montreal. Some were crackpots. Some were thoughtless servants of the Soviet Union. But the only riding ever to elect a communist to parliament was a Jewish one. And it was a profoundly caring party. Very highly idealistic They were shattered when, in the late 1940s, Kruschev revealed what Stalin was all about. In one day, the party vanished. The Jewish communists of Montreal were, if one might say so, profoundly Christian in their caring for others - far more so than any Christian community I knew. Most of the later communists that I met in university were simply arrogant power seekers.
Most of the western world has simply abandoned ideals of any sort - and we're on a terrible, self-destructive slide.

Just about anyone can post an article on "medium". It was designed to be something in between an editorial/ blog/ word limited Twitter post.

So, theoretically one could defend right wing ideas, posing as a "liberal" writer or vice versa. I find that this article contains some partial truths but I hear echoes of alt-right objections in it and propogandized language like "identity politics". I've recently started learning how these fairly newly popularized expressions are getting mainstreamed into our common lexicon, and sometimes twisted to the meaning of the alt-right agenda.

My friend also gave a pretty fun description of him being mistaken that Russian mass media hit bottom 10 years ago; they zoomed past " Orwellian World" a few years ago and are dropping ever faster :3
I would say the same about the U.S. - 10 years ago I didn't think it could get worse, with Fox, and Glenn Beck and Rush Limbaugh - but now we the "alt-right" "news" sites spreading false ("alternative") narratives through social media. Ordinary, well intended smart Russian immigrants living in North America can probably smell the rotten Orwellian alt-right propoganda when it has increasingly popped up with regularity here.
