Seelercat went home Sunday. All week he had been disappearing somewhere in the house for hours at a time, and we didn't worry about it. Then Seelergirl phoned - they were settled at home after their vacation, would we come out for a swim and bring the cat. So Seelerman began calling and loking for him After a bit I joined the search, using a flashlight. under beds, in closets. Finally I found him, behind an old craft project in the spare room closet. He hadn't finished his nap and didn't want to be disturbed. Seelerman reached in to get him; and got a scratch on his hand. By the time he washed off the blood and found some leather gloves, Seelercat had decided to come out and walk around a bit. Then he spotted his cage and made a beeline for behind the livingroom couch. We waited. Eventually he came out but when we approached him he ducked under the table and evaded us by moving around the legs of chairs. Again we pretended we weren't interested. He came out when he noticed me making a trail of kitty treats. He had his head and shoulders in the cage before he noticed, and before he could turn around in cramped quarters I pushed his hind end and shut the door. He cried pitifully all the way home.
We're going to miss that cat.

As much as I don't like to advertise- the commercial is true: Shaking a bag of Temptations works every time. My cat already comes when she hears the cabinet door being opened.

Seelercat certainly has a personality of his own (as did other cats who have shared my home in the past). A few hours befoe slashing oout and drawing blood (not a lot), he slept curled up next to Seelerman's back, purring whenever Seelerman woke in the night and stroked him. And in the morning he rubbed against my legs after greeting me with 'so glad to see you up. I thought you both would sleep forever'. I fixed him breakfast and by the time I was finishing my coffee he was curled up in Seeleerman's chair with a twitch in his tail if anyone got too close. Fortunately he doesn't like the leather recliner where I generally sit or I'd have to find another chair.

As they say ... nobody REALLY owns a cat!

That is extreme possession that has gone feral ... need I say more on independence?

The last two cats I had though were very sociable with me ... but didn't like other anima ... we had common animus ... there were apocalyptic (awakenings) to hsssssss Efitz ...

Tho' the crazy Lab we had would lick the snow off them when they come in out of the cold ... almost worth a story!

Worthwhile when you consider the lies we have to bear under eclectic politic ... so much interference ... truth must be tested to see if it is here or out there ...

Can an eclectic world spin without creating magnetic shocks? Strange attractors ...

Actually, the cat who grew up with me (born when I was 4, died when I was 24) wasn't bad with us humans. I don't recall getting scratched all that much. The dog we had when I was in my teens and early twenties (who bit me good a couple times due to over-enthusiasm moreso than malice) might tell a different story.

I grew up with barn cats. Often we couldn't even catch them (although we tried), so not much scratching there. But I did live with a cat named Casey in my single years; given over to my parents when I decided to return to university. He had quite a personality. To this day I tell funny Casey stories to anyone who will listen.

well, I have been busy at Five Oaks --as our ED's last day was June 30th, and we were still working on the hire for our Operations Manager, so...had to find someone who could step in quickly and run the show . We were very lucky to have someone who was available and a past ED, who is helping out. very thankful. New Operations Manager is hired. Very thankful. Starting mid-August - so a bit of a challenge for transition time.

Now cleaning up --- building, facilities, files, emails, and our bookings --- so lots and lots of time still required.
Plus work.
Plus Dad
Plus family
means not much time for me or for wondercafe.

but, on the plus side, wow.

I popped in to night to do some quiet work, and my eyes filled with tears when I walked into the room. There was an activity that I had hoped would be done, but I knew it was a lot of work. our amzing property manager did the task. We have had other staff there restoring the place to order.

Our vision is comign to fruition, and we are working on more plans. we are so lucky.

Life is good!

on other notes, looks like things are moving along with my dad too.

Pinga...My message this week (remember, I'm leading worship A LOT!!!) is called: Sacred Spaces. I talk about Five Oaks in it.

Sacred Spaces a' kin to domains of sacred wisdom ... bean so many don't wish to know ... the work is painful!

Imagine studying the errs of past humans relating to Cornwallis and others like Hitler and Trump and their supporters of republican gest that would like to control that which is not theirs ...

If you didn't take it as funny, odd or peculiar you would be upset and reciprocal about the sad behaviour of our relatives towards their siblings ...

It goes on in the continuing story ... no bones ... they will be carved out later ... additional deposits to an ancient earth ... older than the mortal-limits allow ...
