Not much of a way to celebrate. Coffee is vastly superior.

Different strokes for different folks, amigo. I'm quite happy to celebrate with a cup or two of tea. Coffee, even the high quality stuff Little M drinks, just doesn't taste appetizing to me.

She never said anything to indicate or imply that tea was better than anything else, unlike you who posted:

And, honestly, if I was intending to chastise you, I would have used much stronger language than that.

She indicated that the way to celebrate was over tea.

Indeed, paradox, I'll have a cuppa as well. Black, with a wedge of lemon, please, if we're talking 'Presbyterian tea' here... Very good news on some medical fronts, here.

No, that's not what she said, meant, or indicated. However, I'm sitting here enjoying my cuppa and have no desire to argue with you further.

* pours * for BetteTheRed and * passes * the lemon wedges.

Glad to hear about the good news . . . p3

Yes it is what she implied. Maybe next time you'll engage in equal time chastisement. ;)

With a little more time on my hands, and in spite of my sore back, I'm making a little more in the food department for Christmas. So....I'm bringing shortbreads and tortiere to share with others. Drink is your choice.

Wow - tourtierre - I love that stuff.

I'm not as enamoured by the ongoing argumentative efforts by certain posters though. I'll refuse to comment to the poster, maybe that will help.

Oo, tourtiere. Yum. One of two great French-Canadian contributions to our cuisine (the other being poutine, of course).

Tourtiere is a grand dish when made the proper way with pork, beef, and just a touch of wild game.

As for shortbreads, I've long discovered that my own mother makes them best. Anyone else's I've tried have been very sub-par.

I'm drinking decaf tea lately at my doctor's request. I like the taste of black tea (so, decaf) but do enjoy a few herbal tea varieties too.
