It is funny because it is true.
Sadly, painfully, woefully, belabouringly, hair-pullingly, garment-renderingly, apocalypse-yearningly true.

Where does someone who is in a "state of flux" belong?
Ditto for me. But like all continuums when it comes to matters of faith, I move back and forth a little from time to time.I think that I would fit in the middle area.
Thanks for the discussion. It's got me thinking.
It seems that I misunderstood a bit. I presumed that when talking about Christology a person would be a Christian and have some idea and belief in Jesus. It seems to be that if you didn't believe that Jesus even existed you wouldn't have low Christology but you wouldn't have any at all.
Also I misunderstood the phrase 'just some guy I know' as being 'just some guy I knew'.
Perhaps this is ssomehow related to my interpretation of the song 'What if God were One of Us ... ' I think of this as a plea for God to return to us as 'one of us', fully human, trying to make his (or her) way in the world. Low Christology.
