"In the future, the media will kill famous people to generate news that people will care about. The Dilbert Future (May 1997)

Three months later, the media chased Princess Di into a tunnel and created a dangerous situation that killed her but was terrific for television news ratings. The media didn’t plot to kill anyone, but they created a situation that made it likely someone important would die because of the way their business model works. That was the basis for my prediction.

Fast-forward to today and we see the media priming the public to try to kill Trump, or at least create some photogenic mayhem at a public event. Again, no one is sitting in a room plotting Trump’s death, but – let’s be honest – at least half of the media believes Trump is the next Hitler, and a Hitler assassination would be morally justified. Also great for ratings. The media would not be charged with any crime for triggering some nut to act. There would be no smoking gun. No guilt. No repercussions. Just better ratings and bonuses all around.

In the 2D world of reason, no one in the media consciously wants a candidate for president to be injured, and no one is consciously acting in a way that would make it happen. But in the 3D world of persuasion, society has decided to lance the wart that is Trump. Collectively – the media, the public, and the other candidates – are creating a situation that is deeply dangerous for Trump.

Is it justified?

According to social media, and the mainstream media as well, Trump might be the next Hitler because he does things Hitler would have done. For example:

  • Trump is charismatic and appeals to our prejudices.
  • Trump approves of violence against people he thinks deserve it.
  • Trump blames “others” for the nation’s problems.
  • Trump has an authoritarian vibe.
All that is true. But it would be equally easy to build a list of why Trump is definitely NOT like Hitler. For example:

  • Trump is anti-war. Hitler, not so much.
  • Trump asks us to favor legal citizens over non-citizens. He makes no mention of race. Hitler killed his own citizens and mostly cared about race.
  • Trump wants citizens to be heavily armed to protect themselves against bad people, including dictators. Hitler didn’t want to arm his potential enemies.
  • Trump wants greater freedom of speech that would include politically incorrect topics. Hitler wasn’t so big on free speech for others.
  • Trump assures us his genitalia have “no problem.” Hitler had one testicle.
I could go on, but you see how easy this is. The mainstream media can either portray Trump as Hitler or non-Hitler. So far, they have chosen (subconsciously I assume) the Hitler analogy all the way.

Again, none of this is conscious. It is just the result of individuals pursuing their own emotional truths and doing the best they can. Weirdly, everyone involved is trying to make the world a better place. But at least half of them have the wrong plan. We just don’t know which half.

So now we have a situation in which two-thirds of the country and most of the mainstream media believe Trump is a Hitler-in-the-making that must be stopped. Only the mainstream media can remedy this situation and apparently that is not financially advantageous. So don’t expect anything but escalation in the “disruptions” and violence.

The Secret Service will do a great job of protecting Trump. But even so, his odds of surviving the next year are dropping quickly. I put the odds of an attempted assassination at about 25% before November. And apparently that’s on me for being a Trumpsplainer. I apologize for that."

For those who are curious no i dont think he believes that he is responsible for trump...he is making observations aboot human behaviour and has noted a troubling behaviour of sombunall people being angry at him or thinking he supports trump which he thinks is absurd so he writes the absurd sorry cor trump lines...

And you know how people can be blaming that which is outside themselves for their own feelings

This US election is a great example for people to see how Belief shapes our actions...and all without reading a book n psychology or linguistics or philosophy...

Or like one of my metaphors we human beings are like semiaware loaded guns who become suprised when one of us goes off...

Or Gurdjieff saying we re robots

Or Buddha saying that we re living in suffering

Or countless old humans saying that human beings are some kind of sleepwalker...

Again, no one is sitting in a room plotting Trump’s death, but

Yet there are those that say there is no sacred plan (secret conspiracy in metaphorical form) from the essentially blind faith system ... source of great fecundity if you are on the right side of the script ...

It just isn't so as infinite thoughts are out there to be emotionalized to a' Mus' the God(s) ... pluralized to a greater extent ... thus milled down to a cave in GEO Ghia ... so much to put together in a small space and time ... is there room out there for redun-dancing? Two zaes ... sure of salts ... one at LAN tific ... the other PACi fics (fix'd)? Plenty of variants in the spectre ... as the God(s) desired ... guaranteed activity ...

revsdd, not sure I agree with your position that Jesus accepted the taxation system of the Romans. His answer "render unto Caesar the things due to Caesar" is more ambiguous than collusion. If his position is really that the Kin dom of Godde is the legitimate governance system for humanity, not the "Powers and Principalities", then there is nothing due to Caesar.

First, I don't believe that Jesus saw the Kingdom of God as a "governance system" but more as a way of thinking and a way of life. Jesus also said that "My Kingdom is not of this world." He drew a distinction between the Kingdom of God (his Kingdom) and earthly kingdoms, and never advocated revolution or rebellion against earthly kingdoms. It is also clear that he paid taxes to earthly authorities. The coins had Caesar's portrait on them; therefore they were Caesar's. "Give to Caesar what is Caesar's." Paul later expanded on the concept in Romans 13, saying that if we owe taxes we are to pay taxes.

Many argue that it was Jesus' advocacy of co-operation with the Empire and its officials that lost him support among the people.

I am announcing today that I am willing to serve as the 2016 Republican nominee if the delegates wish to choose me for this responsibility and honor.

With Sanders endorsing Clinton (Sell out or smart move?), some of his followers are looking for alternatives that aren't too establishment (Hilary) or too ... whatever Trump is. The Greens and Libertarians seem like they might be poised to be beneficiaries of this. A vote split that might deliver the worst cast scenario of President The Donald? Or the US finally waking to the fact that there can be more than two options in November?

Does anyone else, while they are going about their day to day lives of "normalcy" ever get this surreal thought, accompanied by a weird feeling that, "Trump is one of two possible U.S. Presidents"? And then all of a sudden everything that is supposed to be normal... "How to dress to impress at your job interview, with common household items, in 101 easy steps", "Scientists discover that eating pistachio nuts causes nose hair cancer", "Gardening tips for Millenial minded octogenarians", "Your guide to retirement planning for 2040" ... Going to the mall, going grocery shopping, going to church, vacuuming the living room... Then "Omg! Trump could become president!" And even normal isn't normal. Here we are in this "evolved" world with all this expertise about what is normal, what is practical, what is expected....and TRUMP COULD BE PRESIDENT! So, for all of our human achievements...a significant number of people believe that Trump can lead one of the most, if not the most, powerful countries on earth! It's silly, but at the same time, not even funny - but what else can we do but laugh if we can't vote? It's madness. It bends my mind in a pretzel. And then I feel more assured that I'm not actually that crazy...because...Trump. Anyone else?

Trump as BLTZFX ... or reincarnation of the blitz Krieg ... a fit of a fix to be in if you didn't know better according to Sophisticated Sophia ... one excluded by charge beginnings as going contrary to the desires of the autocrats?

Due to sacred things we keep them autonomous ... "no mouse" means nothing to wit ...

The stuff buried in word as a dark domain (rich Reich?) is overwhelming ... even superior ... beyond natural chitty drives ... these may assist in defining hubris and the urge to shame the neigh bore ... an ogre from the subjective perspective?

Something to get beyond ... even if done "subtlety" in the dark of good'n -ite (an alloying fact)? Thus the sticking point ... goyem, or just goo-Y state ... like gravitas! Few can relate to goyem and Golem without significant interest in ancient tongues ... then there are the jinns ... sometimes mistaken for Jimmy or J'aimes for the big bell ... the outside ring-Ur? Kinda resembling a flower in the shades ...

Welcome to my world
Where 'normal' is that which I ignore because I'm used to it

There are more miracles within 1 sq m of dirt than there are in the most complex theology

Keep those eyes open
(ugh remember ever becoming aware of ones tongue? t goodness my heart beating is normal...itd be disturbing to feel it all the time)

I'm thinking as I watch Donald Trump's announcement about Mike Pence being his pick for vice president that "Trump-Pence" sounds like some weird new currency. The Trump Pence. No idea how much it's worth.

Trump is rambling. Sometimes talking about Pence, sometimes talking about how great he is himself. As usual. Right now he's on about what a great job he did on the construction of a post office building in Washington. Come on. Just introduce the guy.

As I tweeted, I feel trumppence sounds like a delicious new dessert that's sure to give one heartburn.
