Unfortunately no ...... so far the trans organizations are not big enough to offer that kind of assistance.
I have not heard of anyone offering overnight stays.
This is all on us ...... a huge barrier.
 
If you are different ... great walls are built as those rigid in what they believe common is limited and leads to shut-outs, or outright denial! If one acts a bit eerie you can be excluded by tyrannical authority that you may not wish to deal with anyway as you project your rants ... unknown to the X-spurts of fey chits on the fly ... official bull?

There is great power in love expressed in vulnerability and humility.
Opposition melts when one heart touches another.

Just an update of what we have been doing....
On Friday we co-hosted a physician training for providing HRT services along with the Northern Ontario School of Medicine and Rainbow Health Ontario.
There had been two tries before and both had to be cancelled due to lack of interest.
This time .... 25 physicians and nurse practitioners were here right in Sudbury! ..... and another 6 via telehealth to the Thunder Bay campus!
That is now 25 health care providers that are going to help us with HRT right here in Sudbury where there was just one before :)
Also .... the sessions we had in Sudbury and Thunder Bay for social work providers was packed to capacity with 45 here in Sudbury and another 40 in Thunder Bay!
Why the change???? :) ...... because love works better than a baseball bat.

I am waiting for the big announcement today and of course the full text of the bill.
I do hope it is good but I am not getting my hopes too high just yet.
This is the 3rd time this will have come before parliament and twice it has been thwarted in the senate.
I have 3 goals in regards to this:
1. I want to be in Ottawa when it finally passes in parliament.
2. I want to testify before the senate when it is time for public consultation.
My local MP is going to help make that happen.
3. I want to be there when it finally passes the senate and receives royal ascent and becomes law.
Then I will celebrate! .... Oh my will I celebrate!
Coast to coast to coast! ...... the very same rights and protections!!!!!
I do hope I can offer some of this hope to my neighbours to the south.
 
Yeah, I'd forgotten about the Senate thing. As much as I support the basic principle of de-politicizing the Senate, I think Trudeau made a tactical error dissolving his Senate caucus unilaterally. He really needs more control of the Senate for now until some kind of reform plan can be put in place.
 
Today Seelerman and I were checking out Yard Sales. We stopped in at a Giant Yard Sale at a UCC across the river -- one I have seldom visited and which I would not have considered to be on the Progressive side. But wandering around the gym, checking out the books and odds 'n ends for sale, and realizing that before long I would have to either go home or find a washroom, I spotted one. Sign on the door - man, woman, wheelchair. Just then a man stepped out. I waited a moment, then went in and locked the door behind me - large single room, clean, basic fixtures. Great! Just what I needed.
Since this is a fairly large church I imagine that there are more washrooms on the various floors - I don't know how they are designated.
I've never understood why some places (including my own church) considers it necessary to designate single occupancy washrooms as either male or female.
 
San acronyms'? Some say Sennacherib ... a blue angel, or just browned off by no attention in another tradition of ignoring the fey and flighty ... there's a thought you can share about using the same (common) room as meme!

Allows for curios domains that to others may be peculiar or prodigal ... part of the concept of paradigm ... normal natural processes! With reasonable and tactical respect for the others in the course of use ...

"Binary" means having only two options (e.g. male and female). When someone says gender is "non-binary", they are saying that, there are more than two options. E.g. Intersexed, trans, fluid, male, female

Bathrooms ...... yep ...... a quandary and a barrier for us every day...
Churches ....... I sat in a Catholic church with my mother on the weekend.
I made sure I went to the bathroom elsewhere before we went to church so I would not have to face that problem there.
Nervous bladder .... that's me ..... under stress the urge is more frequent and more urgent.
Needing to go and knowing I am not allowed in the womens bathroom ...... that makes me feel "less than", "other" and tries to make me feel "freak". That I refuse but it is so hard on the heart.
I have no rights in churches..... the very place with the big "welcome" sign....

The source of the demi-urge? (y) another pain to the poor earth bound ass as defined by higher ups! Then there are the mediums ... rare things ... lost heart lands in a place where hate and pain is preferred mode of learning ... I love doing it through myth ... sort of like a well screwed down sole ... bottom line that is unreachable by one definition of ad hoc ... described by an acquaintance as a baseless conjecture ... vs. the dictionary as peculiar, or prodigal! Many faceted observation ... obtuse to others ... perhaps OBI?

Voiding or blacking out in public leaves one on the River Pison or Stix when down here on earth ... people of authority defining what is natural and against the law ... is there a peculiar smell about ... LAW'd help me?

Everyone needs a break from the present state ...

It's so easy to put out a welcome sign. Much more challenging to actually be welcoming. The latter would require us to actually cease seeing others as being lower than ourselves.

Well said (no Like button in this forum, else I'd hit it). We are a branded as a "Welcoming Congregation" (think "Affirming" in UCCan speak) and, yet, there are times when some of us have been less than welcoming, though that lack of welcome has generally been based on issues other than gender and orientation.

Years ago, during the height of the last humanist-spiritual battle, we lost a very good, very valuable new member due to some pig-headed humanists who objected to her universalist, somewhat theistic spiritual views. She ended up in the UCCan for a time and then moved away after she retired and was talking about getting a UU church going in her new hometown. We haven't been in touch in a long time so not sure if that happened or not.
