Years ago, in another parish, I knew a woman who spent much of her time in retirement knitting hats, mitts and booties for premature babies, to help keep body heat in. She never (so far as I know) met any of the parents or kids involved, yet she was happy, knowing that she could do something to help make the world a better, warmer place. That, to me, is a powerful symbol of spirituality.@BethAnne and any other knitters on the LAST post thread.
Just picked up a nice little book about the spirituality of knitting. It was on the sale table at a local Faith bookshop. Two bucks!
