You should be able to find good homes for those craft supplies and new gift items!
Some craft supplies went to the playgroup, some to a couple of ladies who want to keep busy, some in our yard sale LAST year...gift items were either donated to local silent auctions or put in the yard sale.

Nice!

I hate it when I see furniture out for garbage collection that could have gone to the furniture bank. Stuff in good condition.

That was a bonus with our ongoing yard sale - neighbour and others brought us stuff that they were going to take to the dump that was perfectly fine.

Moved vehicles as roof is to be redo today or tomorrow (from LAST year's hail storm) - wonder if I'll finally get to meet the Roofer? Brother-in-law is taking my snow tires off today so I took my others over to his place in prep. Now what to do with my day?

If you are able to meet the Roofer, two posters we know and love will be eating their hearts out!

Wonder when the Roofer was LAST spotted?

He gets around.

Here, putting furniture (or anything else potentially usable) out usually results in it vanishing long before the garbage truck arrives. It's not so much putting it out with the garbage as putting it out with "take me, I'm yours" sign on it.

Got it!

Some furniture disappears from the curbside here but it never goes as quickly as the metal or electronics.

Yeah, my old BBQs went fast. My old bike did, too, but that may have been someone planning to fix it up and use it. I more or less put it next to the boulevard tree and said "Steal me". :D

I was once carrying some old and worn furniture items to the curb when a pick-up pulled into the driveway with the driver shouting, "I'll take it!" He and his partner were out of the truck and had the furniture out of my hands before I could even get to the sidewalk. Then they turned to me and asked, "What else have you got?"

15 minutes later they were on their way and I was left standing there thinking that I just blew my first bulk trash pick-up call of the year.

The bikes didn't go LAST year so we have them for this year's sale...the neighbour's BBQ took ages to go. Unfortunately we have mostly little household/garage items. If the nice weather holds, maybe I can start the sale this weekend instead of waiting till the May long weekend...should have had it going LAST weekend with all the Easter traffic.

Care to say more? Not sure this has anything to do with roadside trash but hey, it's the LAST post thread. Tangents are welcome.
