Tomorrow is Annual Meeting Sunday at church. Wonder if I'll last hearing all those numbers without falling asleep?
We Alco have our annual buck SCC met in today. Among topics to be discussed - incorporation, and the next to strike up a smite to shove Reasons. We always start out with a nose big potluck lynch - that way everybody's in a god mod when they're di dug in cruel.

I always feel left out in annual meeting season because my church's oddball fiscal year (starts May 1) means we won't have ours for a few more months, well after most. We're just finishing canvass, in fact.

You're welcome to come to ours if you like. You'd learn what life is like inside our small, conservative church. It basically boils down to - we all eat lunch, we all agree with the Senior Pastor, we all go home happy.

Sounds rather copacetic to me. Ours are rather more contentious, and definitely "all agree with the Senior Pastor" is not on the order paper. Though not always. Things have been calmer in recent years. There still a healthy amount of debate and discussion but the board has been using town hall meetings ahead of the main event to collect ideas and opinions so a lot of the potential flashpoints are found and addressed before the actual ACM.

Sounds like a good approach to take.
It also sounds like I am back in LAST place.

What is a co paced tick when one can easily sleep through Presbytery's non sense about rules and regulations with ought much sense being made ... knowledge of the proceedings are despised ...

Knitting for the first time in almost a month. Time flies! At this rate, the dress and sweater might be finished by Christmas.
