Scripture is not a science text, nor does it claim to have all the answers about how the world works. God has given humanity the power to reason, the desire to find out why and how things work. Some heavy reading I'm doing on the patriarchy of the church points to the fact that the patriarchs wished the populace to be quite unintelligent for their own purpose ... was there sign of the success of these gods of desire to stupefy?
