Wormwood is first a Plant -----it is a very bitter Herb ---

Wormwood (Artemisia absinthium) is an herb that’s prized for its distinctive aroma, herbaceous flavor, and purported health benefits.

While native to Europe, it grows readily across a wide range of climates, including parts of Asia, Africa, South America, and the United States.

It has velvety white or greenish-silver stems, yellow-green leaves, and bulbous flowers that are bright or pale yellow. All parts of the plant have been used in traditional medicinal practices for hundreds of years.
It gained notoriety for its use in absinthe, a French liqueur favored by many 19th-century artists.

However, it was purported to cause numerous adverse effects like hallucinations and seizures, and was considered a potential poison.

Wormwood has long been sought for its potential pain-relieving and anti-inflammatory properties.

Wormwood contains many bioactive plant compounds, such as flavonoids and phenols, that may help fight free radicals that cause oxidative stress. conditions, such as heart disease, cancer, diabetes, and Alzheimer’s disease.

I say ----
So this Bitter Herb Wormwood can have both Good anf Bad effects on us in this Physical World ----

The Bible uses the word Wormwood in both the Old and New Testament ---metaphorically in a symbolic way---

Proverbs 5

Avoid Adultery

3 The lips of an adulterous woman drip with honey.
Her kiss is smoother than oil,
4 but in the end she is as bitter as wormwood,
as sharp as a two-edged sword.
5 Her feet descend to death.
Her steps lead straight to hell.

Deuteronomy 29:17-18

17 and ye have seen their abominations, and their idols, wood and stone, silver and gold, which were among them:) 18 lest there should be among you man, or woman, or family, or tribe, whose heart turneth away this day from the Lord our God, to go and serve the gods of these nations; lest there should be among you a root that beareth gall and wormwood;

Jeremiah 23:15
Therefore thus said the LORD of hosts concerning the prophets; Behold, I will feed them with wormwood, and make them drink the water of gall: for from the prophets of Jerusalem is profaneness gone forth into all the land.

Lamentations 3:19
"Remember my affliction and my wanderings, the wormwood and the gall" (ESV)

Topical Encyclopedia
Wormwood is a term found in the Bible that refers to a bitter substance, often associated with judgment, sorrow, and calamity. The word "wormwood" is derived from the Hebrew term "la'anah" and the Greek "apsinthos," both of which denote bitterness. In biblical literature, wormwood is frequently used metaphorically to describe the consequences of sin and divine retribution.

Symbolism and Interpretation

Throughout Scripture, wormwood symbolizes the bitterness and sorrow that result from sin and divine judgment. It serves as a powerful reminder of the consequences of turning away from God's commandments and the inevitable suffering that follows disobedience. The recurring theme of wormwood in both the Old and New Testaments underscores the seriousness with which God views sin and the importance of repentance and faithfulness to His covenant.

In a broader theological context, wormwood can be seen as a representation of the moral and spiritual decay that occurs when individuals or nations forsake God. It calls believers to remain vigilant in their faith, to seek God's guidance, and to avoid the spiritual pitfalls that lead to bitterness and destruction.

and -----We see it in Revelation ----as a Star ---Wormwood -----

New Testament Reference

In the New Testament, wormwood appears in the apocalyptic imagery of the Book of Revelation. Revelation 8:10-11 describes the third trumpet judgment: "Then the third angel sounded his trumpet, and a great star burning like a torch fell from heaven and landed on a third of the rivers and on the springs of water. The name of the star is Wormwood. A third of the waters turned bitter like wormwood oil, and many people died from the bitter waters."

wormwood is personified as a star that brings calamity upon the earth, turning the waters bitter and causing widespread death.

I say -----Wormwood is released on the 3rd Trumpet sound ------

We talk about the Mark of the Beast ----and the 4 Horsemen ----but no one seems to mention Wormwood and how devistating this will be on the people here ---Water is a necessity of life -and One Third of the Water will be unfit to drink --and many will drink this poison water out of necessity to quench their thirst ---

Oh good lord ...

If a person had some inclination towards science and study of some chimeral based pharms that are essentially steroidal, or endocrine ... you might appreciate the double entendre that has evolved out of a vocation that involves knowledge of things you were told that it is unhealthy to know. The BS doctors of a particular time did not like medicine only surgery ... and excising of parts ... for instance thought was dangerous to a emotional rant!

But then ... you wouldn't wish to want to know anyways ... for just think ... learning is a pain like a Thor hammer ... blow to the side of the head with a different air? God, love and everything inclusive is like that we you desire to know very little ... the challenge reputed to be given by the ancient folk like Arch-Aye ... teach God's children? You can teach a lot of other kids easier that the elite ... they already know it all like emperors, royals and presidents, etc.

Yet they get great marks eh ... you 'ave got to wonder ... imagine the benefits of ignorance ... more will toe-m? What's a toe-m but a toe M (medium) like a start to hoof it off to someplace to cause trouble ... like Shakespeare's ladies? Which is ... just what in a double entendre ... meta pho Rickles ... a thought in the reptilian portion of the neurological system? Disturbing the rackets ... in the Knight ... Joan? It was pure observation if your perspective wasn't blocked by the emotional part ... she wasn't a lady ... but a working genie with stimulants ... there're Mani more ... unknowns? For sure ...

Why a sacred story as sacrosanct ... sunk out 've sight ... the pious didn't wish to see what venoms could do to a disturbed neuron!

Dark myths are the power to keep them away from what they don't know ... but alas the emotional will get into god knows what ... do not walk alone with a god in the garden ... take a seasoned maid ...

I'm just going to repost this because I can't make it any more ridiculous than it already is. I thought about it, but there is no use.

Wormwood seems like a bit of a wallflower as it grows in restricted places, rocky and rock walls and sort of acts introverted ... like passions except when they burst out ... like yellow balloons and red roses ... the bubble burst and the whetted occasion may unravel like Moon River ... a place under the stars for the quiet soul? One is required to know the theatrics for the proper occasion ... thus those dark robes ... explosive myth in the vale?

Everything has its time ... and people will say wasn't that a party and then come down to ... what else think it over?

Thinking is always latent ... when something was done to stimulate it ... in the dark and mysterious domain that never spoke to you about the consequences first! God is like that ... numbed by the fall ... articulations?

Like articulating on drugs in church? Too much of anything is toxic as well that too little is detrimental ... DR. JF Wilkes on the nature of the chemicals in water required to support life of various types ... even slime ... water being the essence of life and thus metaphor of soul ...

There are stranger things under Midnight ... Black Horse??? Reconsider the stories and dark ladies ... mysterious?

Then some over do it ... to build fear of whatever ... something bound to erupt ... when nothing is known! Comfortable void that water closet ?

If kindness is a Christian inclination ... why such a bad tilt in some jousts ... unless you see an escape to break out ... up ... over ... etc. C as ET ... light ethics ...

Many find it too dark to observe ... individual light may be advisable ... so glow!

You're right, unsafe, that Wormwood's a devastating event that deserves serious attention. It reminds us that creation's under God's power and that no human achievement can ultimately replace Him.

Science was never meant to replace God. As the Bible says, "The fear of the Lord's the beginning of wisdom" (Pro 9:10).

The important issue's whether our hearts remain bitter toward the One who offers Life's Water

Doth that signify a single mine-ded entity, regardless of the HEX?

Is the primal curse; knowing or being absent of knowledge? Enigma ... it swirls ... like a wind but not tangible ...

I've been told it is all in my head thus contained so many others do not have to think about it ... and so they don't attempt and remain emptied ... somewhat delinquent ... n-1?

Reminds me of the Poisonwood Bible in its entirety requiring wisdom in application ... worms often indicate that something is being processed ... as according to Burl Ives Blue Tailed fly ... as fay as can be received ... little bits of intelligence at a time ... they worm their way into a difficult place of reason ... for those quite passionate about learning, knowledge and science ... thus breaks, gaps and holidays ... away from the primal wisdom?

What a lead ... and thus we venture upstream ... against the flow ... 'ere?

Stoic cannot deal with the empiric in a one way position ... it is like depth against, superficial and the medium as the thin in-between! Fabricated separation of 2 essences of life? Otherwise multiplication as in algae ... extensive ...

Do light sensitive algae think? Only when accrued ... i.e. gathered adequately ... green cover?

There's so much more to it ... like Moss and moses in the forest

Scientists predicted doomsday for November 13, 2026. Should we be worried?

But as birth rates declined and population growth slowed, the terrifying prediction unraveled, revealing how even convincing scientific models can fail when human behavior changes.

In 1960, Science, one of the world’s leading science journals, published an article with an unambiguous title: Doomsday: Friday, 13 November, A.D. 2026. It predicted that on this future date — less than a month from today — the human population would approach infinity and effectively annihilate itself.

I say ------There is Science AND THEN THERE IS GOD ------

What is the fullness of the Gentiles (Romans 11:25)?

The fullness of the Gentiles in Romans 11:25 reminds us of God’s global focus (with the universal proclamation of the gospel of salvation) and chronology (with the times of the Gentiles not yet complete).

One day, the fullness of the Gentiles will be complete, and God will deliver the nation of Israel.

Anyone who might have doubts about God’s faithfulness in keeping His promises can consider these passages as important reminders that God has a detailed plan that He is fulfilling patiently and carefully.

But then some like to mess with stats and endogeneity ... a factor that deals with the gaps ... schisms? It upsets the determinates to see how the future become quantum ... in patches ... like Dolly sings!

Never try and fix things in hedges ... but you might observe the inclinations ... and also the brutal urge for world avarice ... people will even prompt tyrants from a Christian platform ... because there a 2 virtues ...

Had birth rates stayed high and food production remained consistent, we very likely would have seen more wars over territory and resources. Hell, the US is freaking that we might cut off potash. It's one area they are reliant on us.

But as living got more expensive and resources became more scarce, people had fewer kids. Birth control also became more available.

We were destroying the ozone layer, but international cooperation, based on science, mostly fixed that issue.

Lots of external forces were at play, and in many cases we can thank scientists for delaying a doomsday scenario.

Same with ozone hole. Scientists pointed out its existence, the causes, and where that might lead and we acted. It's still there but improving with time. So none of the disaster scenarios put forward have happened.

Y2K is more engineering than science, but it falls there too. People predicted disaster and none happened. Why? Because we acted to prevent it. My first six months in my current job included lots of time investigating and fixing potential Y2K issues in our systems. Of course, the aftermath was that a lot of ignorant people go on about there wasn't really a problem in the first place because nothing terrible happened, when in fact nothing terrible happened because we took it seriously and acted.

In anyone developing effect ... there are numerous factors that cause it, often if one factor is missing nothing happens.

Doctors have said so many times that the factors contributing to health failure that are named may be multitude, in particular anything related to genetics, or hormone based not to mention stress related diseases. The effect of some natural chemical are profound in their interactions.

Think of the herds of gods riding about in the heavens like patchwork ... and ponder the nature of an integral god like Z as a sign! One has to put a lot of psyche parts together as it is a alien network indeed ... giving us Zionism if we only understood such a summation ... like a band of angels descending ... some black and some white ... you can only see the ones in the adequate background ... the signs would be hard to quantify ...

Isn't that IT in a nutshell? Everyone wants to cut the IT budget because there are no IT emergencies, and its the IT crew preventing emergencies?

Everyone says they don't need me to design temporary support because buildings don't fall down when being repaired, but they don't fall down because the city makes everyone hire a temporary support engineer. It's fly-by-night contractors renovating homes without us that collapse basements and trenches, but you don't usually hear about those unless people die.

Sadly, it is in a lot of places. Somehow, I landed in a corporation that actually values IT. They don't always value the right IT, but the problems are not the result of cuts, just bad decisions and failure to properly plan (e.g. only one guy knows how the backups of a particular system work and then he gets fired). That's corporate. I've always run a pretty tight ship and the two managers under me (both guys I hired and then promoted) are the same.
