I trust that the Holy Spirit works through even my humble efforts, bringing change in ways I may not always see

It's Sunday morning here in Korea. My sermon text today is Genesis 1. I'll be mentioning Bishop's Budde near the end of my message. In keeping with orthodox Presbyterian thinking. I'm saying that we're all made in God's image which gives us a responsibility to treat others with compassion and mercy. I'm naming the good Bishop as someone who does that

This is so ironic coming from you. Once you make a decision about an interpretation, you resist any other point of view. Who lived by the sword in his day,? Soldiers, mercenaries, and assassins. How did most of them die? What happens to most members of violent gangs? Jesus made a consequence statement. In the context of the Gospels you almost have to twist like a pretzel to read any other meaning in to it.
