It is crazy to think people don't value Canada enough to think it's worth being at such a table. Seems to me it's even more important these days.

I'm not sure it's people not valuing Canada so much as being next to the USA makes us look small. Look at our one or two large tech companies vs. the monster that is Silicon Valley. It is easy to think we're small potatoes next to that when we really are not. In the 21st century, we need to think globally instead of just looking at our own continent. That would help us see where we really stand.

That said, in the long haul we probably are going to drop. A resource and service-based economy has its limitations in terms of growth and a lot of developing countries are recognizing that and pursuing manufacturing and technology in a big way. We can do things to fix that, of course. Unhitching ourselves from the US would be good start. And I hate to say it and will probably get roasted for it, but opening up to doing business with places like China and India that actually have more growth potential at this point than the US does is part of that.
 
The G7 is just another ineffective form of global governance.

The premise of the first ‘G6’meeting was that all countries present were economic powerhouses.

As of 2017, this is no longer the case.

The G7 is also made to look like a relic from a foregone time by the consistent meeting of the G20, of which all G7 members are already participants in any case.

Theory? The G7 is nothing more than a show of status for old powers.

If the G7 died altogether that would not not be a bad thing -- IMO.

Which is all quite normal, sans this recent made up bout of Canadian Nationalism

And truly, GDP is part of a Belief System with all sorts of assumptions baked in...

Market forces grow and metastatize and grow, incorporating more and more into it...

That is why we get crappy carbon taxes instead of good and fair carbon taxes

That is why Nestle gets to take our water...

Or why DOW gets to poison us all forever...

And it is all coming apart now...

Yeah, I have hoid that is pretty much a global.problem now, with countries "kicking the problem" of soverign debt further and further so that eventually there will be a global crash as country after country defaults?

Thus why the fear over "the Great Reset", centralized programmable currency, AI control and so forth?

What we don't wish to know and ignore ... is that critical?

Does the imbalance forge on until something fails ... the education system, food supply, etc. because no one give just take it as granted? Thus instability in some characters as their unseen phobias catch up ... state of unfamiliarity? A stunning blow to the side of the uninformed by plot (and conspiracy as a plan).

Let us dig into that ... no says the Ace ... who was ache in to win ... a dark point that proved to be A hole --- Aaron James (concurrent as a Jimmied will) ...

People do battle over these ... the enigma of life and why it ceases ... excess prosperity and folk become slack connectors ... they cannot communicate!

They say there is no word for it ... thus vast unknown's ... folk in the desert made songs about the shifting, whispering stuff ... all that was lef of the old minor ... wasted! Prodigal story ...

Admit it does counter the liar ... with the sad story he hasn't enough as encroaching on everything ... not a doubt that it belongs toem! Cilia ...

The global deficit is dangerously large

Thus the WEF, eating bugs, Great Reset, 15 minute cities, Geoengineering, programmable central currency, AI love, global panopticon, etc all to deal with the upcoming soverign debt crisis which, depending on who you ask, is intentional or more selfish/ignorant
