I remember hearing that we would be seeing a decrease in empathy in the world. I could see the possibility but didn't really ponder the full impact of that decrease. 45 is one big ugly effect of the lack of empathy

I recall one Republican congressperson opining, after Trump was out of office, that the vaccine should be named the Trump vaccine, since, in this congressperson's opinion, Trump had single-handedly made it happen. (Spoiler alert: no, Trump had very little to do with it, except shooting off his mouth.)

The truth would be more accurately expressed that a vaccine was developed for the Trump Virus. He may not have made/ created/ or invented the virus, bit no one else on earth had more to do with letting the virus spread and thrive across the USA.
 
People are so deluded. :LOL: Trump vaccine.......riiiight. I'm thinking a home for people with dementia may be more suitable with him as a resident

The Republicans seem to be deluded in believing their reason for existence is to gain power for their own benefit, sort of like a nasty virus.

(I particularly have been amused when I have run across GOP 45 supporters who get all cognitive dissonant when they find oot 45 is any form of positive toward the vaccines...very amusing how motivated reasoning and confirmation bias works)
 
Common folk (considered pagan) do not like the trumping concept as it defines losers ...

Something that all matter must go thro' as the conservation of energy/matter as you may appear on one side or the other as matter explodes in vast energy ... thermodynamics? It is a conservation the fixed do not like to know about as it differentiates the absolute from the abstract ... combination of relativity and quantum theory?

Will the great accumulation of essence ruin a leader ... just too much of something ...

Yet around here Trump is widely regarded as our greatest president since Lincoln: e. g. Operation Warp Speed, border security, a conservative Supreme Court that will soon overturn or gut Roe vs. Wade, etc. Also, it is widely believed that Putin would never have dared to invade Ukraine with a strong, mercurial and unpredictable leader like Trump in power. Conversely, Trudeau is now widely regarded as a mindless Fascist, who reflects badly on Canadian political tastes!

As for me, I believe that the Jan. 6 committee is unwittingly doing Republicans a favor by making it less likely that Trump can regain the presidency. If Trump runs, he will lose, but then claim that he actually won! With the coming Democratic holocaust in the Midterm elections, the right moderate Republican (Nicky Haley?) is likely to also win the presidency, giving Republicans the presidency, the House, and the Senate.
