The latest (and last?) episodes of Firefly are on Netflix. Breast cancer is a major player. f*** cancer.

I just finished watching Firefly Lane. I'll have to regroup. I like that it doesn't present breast cancer as something pink and sexy to be vanquished. I also don't like that part. It's pretty brutal in some spots. It captures a lot of the experience with breast cancer well. It's also a great celebration of friendships

I just finished watching a movie called, " The Invention Of Lying" starring Ricky Gervais.
It's a comedy about a world where everyone only knows how to tell the truth...until one man, learns how to
lie..."for the good".
Here in lies some of our answers to our questions about an " interventionist God" that we've been talking about in "the religion forum"...LOL!
Enjoyed the giggles and the satire.
Netflix

Satyrs are misrepresented as the hind end of the ultimate! So saith Mu cis ... in resonance that David picked up on as coming off a rock face ... twas a nob in NE!

I've been watching Queen Charlotte on Netflix. This is a Shonda Rhimes production and is part of the Bridgerton franchise. Queen Charlotte was married to King George III, the king who they call the mad king and who likely had porphyria. I hadn't known the real Queen Charlotte was either black or brown. I'm enjoying this series more than Bridgerton. The women who play the young and older version of the queen are excellent.

We watched 'Land' on Netflix the other evening. Very pleasant watching, with wonderful scenery and believable characters.
I enjoyed it too!

Sounds like initiation of mules, satyrs and alternate donkeys jousting for position ... virtue up or decidedly down? How virtue is trashed ... Gehenna? Light hu*mur or other Haggai ... that stomached!

We are still talking about a recent viewing. We saw State Secrets (or maybe Official Secrets!) on Netflix the few evenings ago. Yup - still talking about it and wondering how we didn't know.

Last night we started Queen Charlotte and it looks promising.

I confess to being on the final season of Indian Matchmaking. It's a fascinating insight into a specific culture, and the idea of arranged marriages is quite interesting to me.
My Dad had a colleague who was an immigrant from India who arranged a marriage for his son. Nice guy. I met him a few times. This was in the eighties.

I watched Queen Charlotte and really enjoyed it. I liked that it was based on a real person

My library just got a novel based on it by Shonda Rhimes (showrunner for both it and Bridgerton) and Julia Quinn (author of the Bridgerton novels).

Is indian match girl like an indiginous thought provoking essence? That from dark ancient processes ... in relief or stash din flaws in the rock of ages ... difficult openings ... them at the end dore? Beware ...

Has anyone else watched 'Here Now'? It is about a guy with dementia and has some wonderful characters and scenes of family life.

A friend recommended Muster Dogs on Netflix. We've started watching it. It's an Australian production so you get a little tour of Oz and get to watch cute dogs. Win win.
