Yep - no ageism there. If it were true we really can't do anything about it.
I think green energy is a path to peace (even for those who deny climate change) - no more ME oil wars, with those using religion as a weapon. And I think when the dinosaur politicians die off of old age - not too long in the future - we might actually be able to achieve it.
"we have to be stewards and innovators all at once. to be self-critical is good. it's a correction mechanism. but to be self-critical to the point of self-destruction is not good.any good thing in excess is a poison. the environmental nihilism with which we are attacking ourselves is useful...up to a point. but at the moment, it blinds us to our accomplishments and to our obligation to fashion even greater accomplishments in the future. it blinds us to the things we have done and are yet to do for life itself. for nature."@ Graeme,
Is a little knowledge dangerous?
Yet they try and tell us they know god ... neigh everything ...

I suppose there is a little bit of ageism, if you want to call it that. Or, just people reluctant to move into ways of running the world other than how it has always been run. And, logically, younger people replace older people in that venture - and most younger people in the world, I think, want green energy, and no more wars (wars cut into Facebbok time.) I think most people in general want an end to wars, but I see green energy as a valid path to peace. Meanwhile, old school leaders continue to wage wars over oil resources. But we're at a crossroad, and it 'could' actually be a good one. Eventually.
Saw in the news this morning that Kevin O'Leary has said that he "inspired" by Donald Trump and may choose to run for the leadership of the Conservative Party of Canada. God help us all.
Mendalla said:O'Leary's acerbic, confrontational approach is something we really do not want in Canadian politics.
In the interview with John Moore just this morning I think that O'Leary put at least one pitch out of the park when he appealed to the brain drain and the fact that many Canadian trained entrepreneurs appear to go elsewhere to enjoy success.
As a businessman I think he is nothing less than a success. I don't believe that translates into political success as much as political hopefuls try to convince us that it will.
I don't think his skill set works in the office of the Prime Minister.
revJohn, you were listening to John Moore? Was that on Toronto radio? In my radio station days, I was on the same station in Montreal with a John Moore. Is it possible he's the same person?
